On Thursday’s network evening programs, ABC’s World News Tonight was the only newscast to make no mention of the 5:00 p.m. EDT debate between the bottom seven Republican presidential contenders ahead of the 9:00 p.m. EDT event featuring the top ten candidates. In addition, the CBS Evening News skipped Carly Fiorina’s attack on fellow candidate Donald Trump for his phone call with Bill Clinton.

On Thursday's CNN Newsroom, after showing several clips allegedly showing GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush to be "gaffe prone," anchor Carol Costello somehow thought it newsworthy to read and display on air some of the Twitter mockery of Bush and the other Republican candidates, including a suggestion that they are a group of clowns.

MSNBC's Thomas Roberts surprisingly pursued Hillary Clinton spokeswoman Karen Finney on his Wednesday program over the ongoing controversy surrounding the undercover videos of Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of the organs of aborted babies. When Finney admitted that Mrs. Clinton had only seen clips of the videos, Roberts wondered, "Why not see the videos?" He later underlined that "not having seen, in full context, what the videos represent...makes a vulnerability for those people that are out there trying to defend it."

Appearing on Wednesday's New Day, CNN political reporter Sara Murray sounded more like a liberal CNN political commentator as she slammed GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush's comments about the federal government perhaps spending more money than it should on women's issues, as she called his remarks "cringeworthy" and "demeaning." She went on to declare that the Bush soundbite was a "gift" for Hillary Clinton and, referring to these women's programs, oddly asserted that "this is how we reproduce in America," as if federal programs were necessary for human reproduction.

On Friday's NBC Nightly News, Lester Holt badgered former Florida Governor Jeb Bush on the issues of race and racism. Holt underlined how "12 percent of African-Americans, 25 percent of Latinos have a favorable view of the Republican Party," and asked, "Is it a perception problem, or is this party fundamentally out of touch – tone-deaf – to minority communities?" He later played up how Bush "never used the word 'race' or 'racism'" during a speech "in front of a predominantly black audience."

Shades of 1968 and the Days of Rage? Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors has announced that "any opportunity we have to shut down a Republican convention, we will."
Appearing on today's Melissa Harris-Perry show on MSNBC, Cullors also blithely spoke of "the murder of Mike Brown" in Ferguson, MO. Neither of the co-guest hosts sitting in for Harris-Perry, Richard Liu and Janet Mock, challenged Cullors' characterization. This despite the fact that even Eric Holder's Justice Department found no wrongdoing on the part of the police officer who shot Brown.

On Tuesday's The Situation Room on CNN, host Wolf Blitzer and correspondent Dana Bash followed the lead of CNN's New Day in forwarding accusations that Jeb Bush and other Republicans have been "hypocritical" in slamming Donald Trump's dismissal of John McCain's military record, while Republicans supported the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth in 2004 when they ran ads discrediting some of John Kerry's claims about his war record.
