Bozell & Graham Column: Comcast Keeps Faking Debates

After the CNBC debate, Republicans were outraged at the vicious personal attacks not even  disguised as questions from the moderators. Defenders of CNBC suggested the Republicans were just whining. President Obama joked that if GOP candidates can’t handle TV moderators, they could never handle Russian strongman Vladimir Putin.

Then the Obama-lovers at Comcast proves Republicans’ point. When NBC anchor Lester Holt sat down for an interview with the president on November 2, there were no attacks. It was business as usual, just another syrupy Brian Williams-style lovefest.

Without a hint of irony, the most superficial network news show in ABC’s Nightline mocked Tuesday’s Fox Business Network Republican debate on their early Wednesday morning installment as nothing more than a “reality show” along the lines of The Bachelor and Survivor “where the stakes couldn’t be higher.”

MSNBC: Hillary Supporter Wanting to ‘Strangle’ Fiorina Was ‘Sort of Funny’

Attempting to excuse Hillary Clinton laughing at one of her supporters wanting to “strangle” Carly Fiorina, NBC correspondent Kelly O’Donnell appeared on MSNBC’s 3 p.m. ET hour to offer up a defense of the harsh rhetoric: “He then told a very detailed story about having been an employee of HP and laid off and he had a lot of anger and upset about that...So he has a very direct personal relationship, if you will, to Fiorina as the CEO.”

Hillary Laughs At Supporter Wanting to ‘Strangle' Carly Fiorina

During a campaign stop in New Hampshire on Tuesday, a supporter of Hillary Clinton told the Democratic front-runner that he wanted to “strangle” Carly Fiorina, after he was laid off from his job at Hewlett-Packard. Rather than denounce her supporter’s violent statement against Ms. Fiorina, Clinton instead laughed in amusement, as did the entire audience, before she joked that she “wouldn’t mess” with the man.

In the wake of an appeals court ruling that handed President Obama a major defeat for his plan to grant executive amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, on her MSNBC show on Tuesday, host Andrea Mitchell only saw victory for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign: “...this is a win-win proposition for Hillary Clinton. She has actually gone farther in her proposals than Barack Obama...”

Scarborough to Hugh Hewitt on Clinton Coverage: 'You're Full of It, Owe Me Apology'

On today's Morning Joe, an incensed Joe Scarborough told Hugh Hewitt he was "full of it," and that "you owe me an apology." 

Scarborough was steamed that Hewitt seemed to suggest that Joe was part of the "Manhattan-DC Beltway elite" that refused to cover Hillary's scandals. Scarborough said "I put my neck on the line every day here," covering Hillary and criticizing media bias.

As this writer documented in this space earlier on Friday, the interview of the day took place over on CNN during Friday’s New Day with tempers flaring between co-host Alisyn Camerota and 2016 Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson. In addition to Carson hitting back at the liberal Camerota over her previous history at Fox News, there were other examples of sparks flying as Camerota hounded him over his biography, whether the media actually vetted President Barack Obama when he ran for the Oval Office, and what the proper role of journalism should be.
