"Last week, Hillary Clinton...admitted she had sent e-mails to her family saying hey, this attack in Benghazi was caused by al-Qaeda-like elements. She spent over a week telling the families of those victims and the American people that it was because of a video and yet, the mainstream media is going around saying it was the greatest week in Hillary Clinton's campaign."

With much of the political world tuned into CNBC for the first Republican presidential debate, MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews ran wild on Wednesday and fessed up to the fact that Hillary Clinton has “got allies in the media” and not “some evil forces” out to attack Clinton as some liberals believe.

Wednesday's New Day on CNN spotlighted the late night shows' latest shots at the Republican presidential candidates. Michaela Pereira spotlighted how "Hillary Clinton got her own dig in. Stephen Colbert asked her about going up against Donald Trump or Ben Carson." The morning newscast also featured one-liners from NBC's Seth Meyers and TBS's Conan O'Brien, who targeted three of the GOP contenders. Chris Cuomo later hyped Mrs. Clinton "giving her best with Stephen Colbert."

Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.) has engaged in sexist criticisms of Democratic presidential primary opponent Hillary Clinton, anchor Richard Wolffe played for his audience a Clinton campaign ad centered on the issue of "equal pay," underscoring how the former first lady is running on feminist themes to fire up female Democratic voters in New Hampshire and Iowa.
Nowhere in the segment, however, did Wolffe -- or his panelists feminist writer Amanda Marcotte and Democratic strategist Tara Dowdell -- note that there's evidence that Clinton, both as a senator and as secretary of state, paid her male staffers substantially more than her female ones.

On Tuesday's New Day on CNN, during a discussion of how the latest poll numbers might affect the upcoming Republican presidential debate, co-anchor Chris Cuomo predicted that the debate would include discussion of the revelation that Hillary Clinton initially told people close to her that Benghazi was a terrorist attack before switching to the discredited story of a video merely inciting a violent protest.

On Tuesday’s The View, liberal co-host Joy Behar eagerly cheered on Hillary Clinton’s decision to play the gender card against her Democratic challenger for president, Bernie Sanders. Behar was reacting to Clinton, who during a campaign event in Iowa said “I've been told to stop shouting about ending gun violence. Well, I haven't been shouting but sometimes when a woman speaks out some people think it's shouting.”

Joe Scarborough had to prod her into it, but once she got going, Mika Brzezinski unleashed a blistering tirade against Hillary on today's Morning Joe for accusing Bernie Sanders of sexism.
Hillary has ginned up great feminist umbrage at Sanders' statement at the debate that people need to stop "shouting" about gun violence and do something about it. A clip was played of Hillary at two stump events saying that when women talk some people think they're shouting. In an extended riff, Mika repeatedly called Hillary's shtick "pathetic," adding that she was "cringing" at the "stupidity" of it. Mika said "I'm going to get killed" for her criticism of Hillary. Wonder who's going to bring the hammer down on Mika?
