During his monologue on his TBS show Wednesday night, host Conan O’Brien continued the liberal news media’s comparison of Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler by joking that Trump was upset he lost out on Time magazine’s Person of the Year to German Chancellor Angela Merkel because the billionaire believes “Germany hasn't had a great leader since the 1940's.”

Wednesday's New Day on CNN spotlighted the late night shows' latest shots at the Republican presidential candidates. Michaela Pereira spotlighted how "Hillary Clinton got her own dig in. Stephen Colbert asked her about going up against Donald Trump or Ben Carson." The morning newscast also featured one-liners from NBC's Seth Meyers and TBS's Conan O'Brien, who targeted three of the GOP contenders. Chris Cuomo later hyped Mrs. Clinton "giving her best with Stephen Colbert."

Wednesday's New Day boosted Jimmy Fallon's anti-Dick Cheney crack from hours earlier on NBC's Tonight Show. Fallon spotlighted how Bernie Sanders was "concerned about what he called 'war talk' coming from the Republicans," and added, "Yeah, 'war talk' – or, as Dick Cheney calls it, 'phone sex.'" The CNN morning newscast included the line in a video round-up of late night shows' jabs at Republicans. Anchor Alisyn Camerota laughed at the compilation, and when asked which was her favorite, she replied, "I like the 'phone sex' one."

Late night comedian Conan O’Brien cracked a crude joke on Monday night at the expense of female Fox News anchors and specifically Jenna Lee and Sandra Smith as he displayed a fake book entitled Fox News Anchor or Porn Star. As part of a larger piece on (fake) books that failed to sell a significant number of copies, Conan quipped: “Here's a book – a coffee table book that just didn't sell. It's called Fox News Anchor or Porn Star? You have to figure it out. Very hard – I say anchor.”

As everyone knows, white conservative presidential candidates are the reason that Planned Parenthood exists. Wait, what?

On Tuesday’s Conan show, the host declared: “Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are teaming up to defund Planned Parenthood. Yeah. Experts believe it could backfire since people like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are the reason there is a Planned Parenthood. That's the only problem.”

Perhaps Conan O'Brien and his writers should be a little less sloppy. On Monday, the comedian mocked Jeb Bush for his recent attack on the Confederate flag, describing it as a new opinion. Except, it isn't at all.

Carrying on the media’s continued effort to poke at Christians, Conan O’Brien cracked a joke, suggesting that evangelicals’ supposed intolerance of gay people may be coming to an end:  “Across the country, some evangelical groups are starting to take a second look at the Bible’s stance on gay people. Yeah, they're taking a second look at it. They're noting that if you count Joseph and God,  Jesus had two daddies.”

On Monday night’s Conan, the host used the hype over Bruce Jenner to make a mean joke at conservative pundit Ann Coulter’s expense. Sidekick Andy Richter asked Conan to drink “truth serum” and then answer a list of random questions.

After a weak jab at conservatives, the comedians made a pointed comment at Coulter.

TBS host Conan O'Brien took a new comedic shot at Hillary Clinton in a Wednesday post on Twitter – specifically, six-figure speaking fees that the former first lady charges; and, along with her husband's speaking engagements, has netted the couple $30 million in 16 months. O'Brien wrote, "I'd love to have @HillaryClinton as a guest on the show, but I can't afford her speaking fee."

On Monday, neurosurgeon and Tea Party favorite Ben Carson officially threw his hat into the 2016 presidential race and after his announcement, Conan O’Brien mercilessly attacked his conservative ideology on his late night TBS program. Conan smeared Carson as “an African American and also a member of the Tea Party. Yeah. Making him the only African American who wants to go back to the way things were 200 years ago.”

In a preview of the 2016 campaign, all five late night comics on Monday night mocked Ted Cruz, hitting the Republican as anti-immigrant, regressive and stupid. CBS host David Letterman didn't bother with a joke. Instead, he lectured, "Here's what I find interesting about Ted Cruz, he was born in Canada. His father fled to the United States from Cuba. Yet, Ted Cruz is against immigration. Isn't that odd?"

On Tuesday night, late-night comedian Conan O’Brien poked fun at Hillary Clinton following the revelation that while she was Secretary of State she conducted all government business using a personal private email account.
