After the Wednesday editions of CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today attempted to excuse the Washington Post cartoon depicting Ted Cruz’s daughters as moneys, various hosts and guests throughout the day on CNN and MSNBC followed suit by chiding the “weird” and “controversial” Cruz for sending out fundraising e-mails related to the smear and “not reacting kindly” to cartoonist Ann Telnaes’s latest work.

During Tuesday’s debate, CNN featured a question suggesting that Republicans are biblical hypocrites when it comes to the issue of immigration. Co-moderator Wolf Blitzer played a video question from a woman named Carla Hernandez. She suggested, “I'm from the University of Texas at Austin and my question is directed to all the candidates. If the Bible clearly states that we need to embrace those in need and not fear, how can we justify not accepting refugees?”
After a five-week hiatus, the Republican presidential candidates meet tomorrow night for their next prime time debate, moderated by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. Based on how the various networks handled the first four debates, viewers of Tuesday's CNN debate should expect: 1) the questions will be aimed at getting the candidates to fight with one another; 2) Donald Trump will take more airtime than any of his competitors; 3) Blitzer and his colleagues will gobble up more speaking time than any of the individual candidates; and 4) the audience will be much higher than for the Democratic debates.

On Thursday's Wolf program, CNN's Fareed Zakaria touted "the extraordinary ease with which people can obtain these extraordinarily destructive weapons." Zakaria played up that "these stories of gun violence really do...alarm the rest of the world....With gun violence, the United States is essentially alone in the world. There is no other country that has anything remotely approaching the kind of violence we do. The only country that comes even close is Yemen — which is, essentially, a war zone."

On Monday's The Situation Room on CNN, host Wolf Blitzer described Republican presidential candidates as putting out a "steady drumbeat" of "harsh anti-Muslim sentiments" because of their expressed concerns about ISIS terrorists exploiting America's refugee program to enter the country, even though the candidates who want to restrict immigration of Syrian refugees still support helping establish refugee camps near Syria, and mostly support increasing military efforts to combat the terrorists who persecute them.
Reporting from inside the spin room following Saturday’s Democratic presidential debate, CNN’s senior political correspondent Brianna Keilar minced no works in describing Hillary Clinton’s comments on 9/11 and her coming of age in the 1960's to two moments that “certainly didn’t go over well” with aides frantically working to “clean-up” after her.

MRC president Brent Bozell has an op-ed over on FoxNews.com about the character assassination of Dr. Ben Carson over his memoirs and how CNN’s Alisyn Camerota lectured him about being vetted.
A look at CNN's coverage of Obama's books eight years ago never found a vetting...only Obama advertising.
Reacting to the first round of questioning in Thursday’s Benghazi hearing, CNN hosts and panelists couldn’t help but trip over themselves in gushing over how Hillary Clinton was “very confidence” in “keeping her cool” while answering “utterly baffling” questions about confidante Sidney Blumenthal that the American people supposedly do not “really care about” and see as “a waste.”

As he interviewed Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld on Wednesday's The Situation Room, CNN host Wolf Blitzer repeatedly showed concerns that Israelis may be doing too much to defend themselves amid a spate of stabbings against Israeli Jews by Palestinians in Jerusalem.
All five questions posed to the police spokesman had the premise that Israelis are going too far in fending off the terrorist attacks, with Blitzer using three questions to fret specifically over Israeli civilians being encouraged to carry their own firearms for greater security.
In the first minutes after the first 2016 Democratic presidential debate on Tuesday night, CNN’s chief political analyst Gloria Borger sang the praises of Hillary Clinton for having performed “extraordinarily well” who proved herself “so adept at making herself the candidate of both experience and change.”

During Monday evening's edition of The Daily Show on the Comedy Central cable network, new host Trevor Noah mocked the efforts by the Cable News Network not only to promote the first Democratic debate in the 2016 presidential contest on Tuesday, but also to add another participant to the event: vice president Joe Biden.
Noah rattled off the current candidates: former U.S. secretary of state Hillary Clinton, junior senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders, former Maryland governor Martin O'Malley, former U.S. senator from Virginia James Webb and former Rhode Island governor Lincoln Chafee.
Just hours ahead of Tuesday’s 2016 Democratic presidential debate on CNN, the network was already in spin mode for Hillary Clinton down to the most minute detail as senior Washington correspondent Jeff Zeleny marveled during The Situation Room at the sight of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin surveying the stage for Clinton to gather “a sense of what this evening is going to be.”
