NBC's Brian Williams: Obama ‘Appeared to Be Clear and Unambiguous’ on ISIS

On Wednesday night’s NBC Nightly News, anchor Brian Williams completely missed the mark on President Obama’s mixed signals regarding how his administration intends to deal with the threat of the Islamic terrorist group ISIS and omitted remarks from Obama that ISIS can be contained to the point of being “a manageable problem.”

At the top of the broadcast, Williams made this blatant falsehood: “[F]or all those who may be wondering if the U.S. is going to rise up, take the bait and get into the fight to root them out, the answer today from both the President and Vice President appeared to be clear and unambiguous.” [MP3 audio here; Video below]

Meet the Press Gives Al Sharpton Unchallenged Platform To Promote Involvement In Ferguson

With MSNBC’s Al Sharpton controversially playing the dual roles of television host and activist surrounding the events in Ferguson, Missouri, NBC’s Meet the Press felt the need to promote the liberal activist even further.

On Sunday, August 24, fill-in moderator Chris Jansing, NBC’s Chief White House Correspondent, concluded her moderating duties by giving Sharpton 4 minutes and 30 seconds of unchallenged air time to promote his involvement in the Ferguson protests following the death of Michael Brown. Chris Jansing, NBC News Chief White House Correspondent, filled in as moderator on Meet the Press and did her best to hit Governor Jay Nixon (D-MO) from the left over his handling of the ongoing violence in Ferguson, Missouri. 

Speaking on Sunday, August 24, Jansing promoted liberal talking points surrounding the police tactics used to stop the violent protests in the Missouri town. Furthermore, the NBC reporter ignored Governor Nixon’s recent controversial comments in which he called for a “vigorous prosecution” of the police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown. NBC Spotlights American Yazidis' Anguish For Iraqi Kin Persecuted By ISIS; ABC, CBS Yawn

NBC Nightly News was the sole Big Three evening newscast on Friday to cover ISIS's ongoing rampage against non-Muslims in northern Iraq. Chris Jansing filed a full report on the heartbreak for a Yazidi community in Nebraska, who have lost family to the Islamist group's campaign of terror. By contrast, ABC's World News and CBS Evening News both found time to air news briefs on the historical gaffe in a photo promoting the new season of PBS's Downton Abbey.

‘Big Three’ Provide Damage Control Following Clinton-Obama Feud, Insist Two Will ‘Hug It Out’

On Wednesday, August 13, all three network morning shows did their best to minimize the conflict between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama following Clinton’s criticism of the White House’s handling of the militant group ISIS. 

The “big three” (ABC, CBS and NBC) networks all played up how Clinton plans to “hug it out” with President Obama when they meet at a party on Martha’s Vineyard. Speaking to “The Atlantic” magazine, Clinton criticized Obama’s foreign policy by insisting that “great nations need organizing principles. Don’t do stupid stuff is not an organizing principle.” [See video below.] 

NBC’s Williams Pushes White House Narrative on Obama Vacation: ‘It’s A Working Vacation’

In the wake of the recent surge of violence in northern Iraq as well as the potential coup within the government, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams did his best to push the White House line that President Obama’s summer vacation was full of work. 

On Monday, August 11, Williams introduced a segment with Chris Jansing, NBC’s Senior White House Correspondent, by promoting how “the White House is taking pains to stress that even though President Obama is on vacation, it’s a working vacation in Martha’s Vineyard.” [See video below.]

On GMA, co-host Dan Harris tried to deflect from Obama's time on the golf course by claiming that "George W. Bush played his fair share of golf during the Iraq war as well," an assertion that NewsBusters' Mark Finkelstein promptly disproved.

Of Big Three Networks, Only NBC's Jansing Asked White House About Canceling Fundraisers

Of the Big Three evenings newscasts for Thursday, July 17, only ABC's World News failed to mention that President Obama was attending two fundraisers in New York City as previously planned despite the day's events: a downed Malaysia Airlines jetliner in Ukraine and Israel sending ground forces into the Gaza Strip.

CBS's Major Garrett mentioned in passing the president flying to New York for a fundraiser and a "political event," while NBC White House correspondent Chris Jansing noted her exchange with White House officials about the planned fundraiser and if the president would proceed with his attendance. MSNBC”s Chris Jansing has just become NBC News’ Senior White House Correspondent and it seems as though she has brought MSNBC’s liberal ways with her. For her first assignment on Monday, June 23, Jansing did her best to promote the Obama Administration’s “Summit on Working Families”, where MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski participated in a panel entitled “Family Matters.”

Jansing began her inaugural report by hyping “What’s being talked about in Washington tonight are kitchen table issues that impact nearly every American” before detailing how the Obama Administration wants to mandate private businesses provide guaranteed sick and maternity leave." It seems that with the Virginia Republican primary victory of Tea Party candidate Dave Brat over House Majority Leader Eric Cantor has proven to the liberal media that despite their exaggerated reporting, the Tea Party isn’t actually dead. When Chris Jansing asked if “the demise of the Tea Party was overstated,” McKay Coppins of Buzzfeed replied: "I think so."

Two weeks ago after the last round of GOP primaries, the liberal media hyped the results as the death knell of the Tea Party. While the political director of NPR, Ron Elving, called the conservative movement “impotent,” NBC’s Chuck Todd described how Democrats were “watching this Tea Party fade with disappointment.” [See below for video. Hillary Super PAC Advisor Dismisses Palin As 'A Comedian'

Chris Jansing spent more than 5 minutes of the June 10 edition of Jansing & Co. showing a live stream of fans waiting for Hillary’s book signing at the Union Square Barnes & Noble in New York and airing the pro-Hillary spin of Tracy Sefl, a senior advisor in the super PAC Ready For Hillary. Sefl, who lauded Clinton as “fantastic” for shedding light on “the pervasive sexism of the 2008 campaign”quickly dismissed Sarah Palin as “if anything, a comedian.”

The MSNBC host asked Sefl what she thought of Sarah Palin’s reaction to a released excerpt in Clinton’s book where the former Secretary of State described how, in 2008, she refused the Obama campaign when they asked her to lead the attack on Sarah Palin directly after Palin was appointed the Republican vice presidential nominee. Sarah Palin replied to the new excerpt via twitter, “Look who fired the 1st shot in the real "war on women". Hint: it wasn't the GOP. See this excerpt from Hillary's book.” [See video below. MSNBC's Alter Dismisses 'Phony Debate' Over Bergdahl Prisoner Swap

Ever a good soldier for President Obama, MSNBC political analyst Jonathan Alter defended the president’s actions in securing the release of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl by exchanging him for five high-level detainees at Guantanamo.

Appearing on the June 2 edition of Jansing and Co., Alter said the move was rather, well, routine because, “at the end of the war, prisoner exchanges are common.” Directing harsh criticism towards skeptics of this exchange, Alter intimated that the administration’s policy was a success because there were essentially only two legitimate options open for the Obama administration: either make an exchange for Bergdahl now, or leave him to die [MP3 audio here; video below the jump]:
