So, pretty much the most ironic and poetically just thing, ever, happened today in the Cowboys locker room. Or, maybe it didn’t. I must insert the disclaimer, since so many n-word accusations turn out to be so much bunk. But if what I’m about to tell you truly went down as Dez Bryant says it did, this is beyond rich.

Art imitated life on Wednesday night’s edition of Modern Family. On an episode called “The More You Ignore Me,” Luke (Nolan Gould) explained the finer points of how one can get out of an arrest.

In an ESPN article written by Senior Writer Elizabeth Merrill, she lauds the bravery of Jonathan Butler, the head of the Concerned Students 1950 organization at Missouri, and the student who went on a hunger strike to get former University System President Tim Wolfe ousted.

Name the missing word in the following sentence from tonight's Associated Press report on the current situation at the University of Missouri: "On Friday, the now-former chancellor issued an open letter decrying racism after a swastika smeared in feces was found in a campus dormitory." The obviously missing word is "allegedly," as in, "was allegedly found." That word is also missing in sentences found in three separate reports at the New York Times. On October, 24, the Washington Post unskeptically accepted the recounting of the incident in a report shortly after it — ahem, allegedly — occurred.

There's a really big problem here. Sean Davis at The Federalist was unable, after extensive efforts, to locate any evidence that the incident really took place. Additionally, he found that a photograph supposedly representing what was done has been present elsewhere on the Internet for a year.

Some, who aren’t familiar with the social commentary of controversial ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith, who happens to be black, might assume that his opinion on the crazy goings-on at Mizzou might be entirely one-sided and completely in favor of the student and student-athlete radicals.
