After Florida Senator Marco Rubio rejected demands from the hosts of CBS This Morning for gun control in a recent December 4 interview, Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler took it upon himself to examine the claim. Much to the chagrin of the rest of the liberal media, he found: “Rubio’s statement stands up to scrutiny – at least for the recent past, as he framed it....He earns a rare Geppetto Checkmark.”

On Thursday's CNN Newsroom, Pamela Brown spotlighted how Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was "sparking controversy during a hearing of a high-profile affirmative action case." Brown noted that Scalia "seemed to suggest that some African-Americans might do better in lesser colleges," and pointed out how "some feel like he was using to it make his own argument. And Twitter ignited — no surprise there — one Tweet thread calling for his impeachment."

During his monologue on his TBS show Wednesday night, host Conan O’Brien continued the liberal news media’s comparison of Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler by joking that Trump was upset he lost out on Time magazine’s Person of the Year to German Chancellor Angela Merkel because the billionaire believes “Germany hasn't had a great leader since the 1940's.”

Appearing as a guest on the 6:00 p.m. hour of Wednesday's MSNBC Live, Dorian Warren of the Roosevelt Institute -- a recurring MSNBC guest -- suggested that conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia believes blacks are "genetically inferior in terms of their brain power" as he gave his reactions to some of Justice Scalia's recent arguments against affirmative action in higher education admissions.

CNN's Chris Cuomo again acted as a liberal activist on Wednesday's New Day during a panel discussion on Donald Trump's controversial plan to ban Muslim immigration to the U.S. Cuomo asserted that it was the Republican presidential candidates' "moment to step up and say how they are different on this particular issue," because, in his view, "Republicans are reaping what they've sown. You know, they went heavy on opposition, heavy on negativity...And now, you have somebody who really embodies that in Donald Trump."

Appearing on Fox Business’s Cavuto: Coast to Coast on Wednesday, Media Research Center research director Rich Noyes took the editor-in-chief of Buzzfeed to task for “basically telling his staff that it's okay to call Trump a mendacious racist, a lying racist.” Noyes told host Neil Cavuto it was “another example of the media trying to basically, you know, deal with Trump themselves rather than waiting and let voters to do it in February and March.”

On Wednesday, all three network morning shows eagerly seized on the latest Donald Trump controversy to boost Hillary Clinton’s 2016 chances. On NBC’s Today, correspondent Peter Alexander proclaimed: “For the Grand Old Party, an urgent dilemma, fail to stand up to Trump and risk long-term damage to the party or confront Trump and risk his running as an independent....A Trump third-party bid would likely gift wrap the White House for Hillary Clinton.”

Yet , incredibly, Joe Scarborough today extolled Hillary's foreign policy credentials, claiming--not a typo--"what an amazing brand she would have to offer the American people right now. Even Republicans that are in search of a unifying, strong leader against ISIS." Scarborough did so after citing Trent Lott and David Petraeus' praise of Hillary's hard work and knowledgeability as a senator. That might be. But how can anyone possibly look at Hillary, one of the most polarizing figures of our times, and someone responsible for a series of foreign policy flops, as a "strong, unifying leader against ISIS?"

As part of NBC Nightly News’s five segments on Tuesday obsessing over Donald Trump’s proposed ban on all Muslims entering the United States, the program turned to former anchor Tom Brokaw to end the show with a commentary comparing Trump to Nazism, McCarthyism, and opposition to the Civil Rights Movement. In the three teases proceeding Brokaw’s editorial, current anchor Lester Holt promised that Brokaw would discuss “the politics of fear” and the “harsh,” “ugly lessons about fear and marginalizing groups of people.”

Seeking to crack a few jokes and draw a moral equivalency and lump together Islamophobia and liberal stereotypes of conservatives, Tuesday’s Daily Show featured host Trevor Noah and correspondent Hasan Minhaj quipping that “Donald Trump is white ISIS” and, because of that, we "should not allow any conservatives into the White House."
