Is this what happens to journalists as their career ends? I can't remember the last time I sought out a Mike Barnicle story. I wonder why?

sometimes it is considered appropriate to interrupt when you have a conflicting view, but as the guy is talking you can hear her saying "yes, right, uh-hu, correct"

I wouldn't worry to much about Barnicle and Capehart. They are just auditioning for starring roles in the old media version of "when we were kings".

Last time I checked, Michelle Malkin was also a national syndicated columnist, who, unlike Barnicle, hasn't been fired for plagiarism.

Gosh, if only we were intellectual giants like Mr. Barnacle. Then we too could report our opinions as "news".

Let's see, you make up stories, bury legitimate stories, report opinions as news, and fact check nothing. You present everything within the framework of a liberal bias, openly campaign for liberal candidates, and try to alter public opinion and perception to match your own. And who's the "nitwit"??

Stories on blogs are open to scrutiny from all political viewpoints, and are usually "fact checked" and "cross checked" on the spot, not by a ideologically friendly editor, but by hostile counterpoints.

What gets me is the arrogance that only journalists have the right to comment on matters of public importance. They think the news media are the "bishops" of current affairs, and that only they have the authority to manage the public's business. But it's a hilarious assumption that only journalists are informed enough about the issues to make worthwhile comments. Journalists are people who make their living by "informing" others, but that doesn't prove they understand things themselves. When reporters report events, that's legitimate, but when they condescend to "explain the meaning" of those events, they're way out of their league.

Journalists aren't military experts, yet they have the arrogance to speculate about what troop levels should be. The average reporter wouldn't know a balance sheet from a balance beam, yet they have no shame in "explaining" the state of the economy. And yet, these self-serving dolts set themselves up as authorities over current events. We are flooded by talk shows, Sunday morning roundtables, and cable shoutfests where journalists interview ... each other! The only opinions these journalists present is their own. Sure, some journalists who have covered a beat for twenty years may have acquired some experience in a particular field. But it's pure arrogance to assume (as this fool Barnicle does) that the opinions of non-journalists are worthless.

• The average pediatrician knows a thousand times more about healthcare, even the hassles of paying for it, than does the average reporter. So why don't we see talk shows with pediatricians talking about healthcare? Instead, we see journalists talking about it.
• Five retired colonels who served in Iraq are infinitely more qualified to discuss Iraq strategy than are any of the reporters. So why do journalists get to pop off about how the war is going, and not colonels?

Journalists have created a myth that only they are qualified to discuss topics of national importance. But it's a myth only they believe.

Granted, he resigned after the second allegation, and it was only a few old George Carlin jokes that he stole. But that's all it takes to get you on MessNBC as an "analyst".

Actually, I would say it is Barnicle and Capeheart who are the nitwits who THINK they are part of the news media. Before this, I had never heard of either one.

And, someone should explain to these guys that Obama's lies are not occurring in a vaccuum. One incident, probably not a story,but we are seeing multiple attempts to revise facts with this guy. He is a liar, and he is tying to mislead us. He is using deceit in an attempt to lead us into socialism. Obama the liar! Obama the liar! Obama the liar!!

That caught my attention as well, Mark. I have a sister who is an atheist, but that certainly doesn't mean I'm not in the tank for Jesus. In fact, I have literally been in the tank for Jesus and actively campaign for Him.

Barnicle would have some resentments about the internet's pj reporters and editoralists since he was caught publishing false information and fired from his Boston Globe job.  He was caught lying and making up interviews on multiple occasions by readers. Like Dan Rather, the internet folks checking reporter "facts" are his nightmare.  As a liberal, Barnicle resents the unwashed masses having the power to interfere with the media "mainstream" running the election coverage without interference.

 Well, Barnicle is considered unfit to work for a newspaper, but he apparently meets the journalistic standards of MSNBC just fine. 

Who would want to be what they've become? No one I know! " A man's got to know his limitations." The truth of the matter is that the MSM, from on-air personalities to their editors, are not as intelligent as they think they are, and we are not as dumb as they think we are. Most of the nitwits participating in the blogs don't seem to take themselves too seriously. For me, the blogs serve a cathartic function: they give me an opportunity to vent.

Most of the nitwits do not set out to produce a self-serving fiction called news. Given that the MSM are professional, we should expect better, and they should provide better.

Mika's father and brother are advisors to Barrack Obama. Furthermore, Mika's bias for Obama can be proven every day. When someone says something that's not favorable towards Obama, you can hear Mika give out a loud groan. Or you will see Mika try to change the subject. When Joe Scarborough talked about Obama's bowling, Mika was seething with anger. In some instances, Mika actually walked off the set.

So is Mika Brzezinski drinking the Obama Kool-Aid? I think if her brother gave his honest opinion, he would say yes.

These people think they are better than us because they work for a dead tree processor, or sit their fat asses in front of a camera all day wearing too much garish make-up on their spotty faces and bulbous noses?

They are going to starve to death without us reading, or listening to their tripe. And that is what it is... Tripe with a capital 'T'. They are not professional at all. They are overpaid ass kissing whores who do the bidding of corrupt leftist traitors who hate America, hate God, and ignore everyone whom they consider less "enlightened" than themselves. Which would be everyone who is not a Communist.
