You can't make this stuff up, folks. It's already been established that journalists in the media don't want to talk about the sex assault claims against Joe Biden. But one liberal columnist went farther, stating she would vote for former Vice President Joe Biden even if "he boiled babies and ate them.” According to an article posted by Charlie Nash of the Mediaite.com website on Thursday, Katha Pollitt of The Nation weekly magazine stated:

The View co-host Meghan McCain irritated her co-hosts on Wednesday’s show by calling out the left’s convenient double standards on sexual assault allegations made against men in positions of power. The co-hosts were blasting Matt Lauer’s “fact-check” of the rape allegations against him, when Joy Behar brought up the accusations against Joe Biden, and cautioned how we shouldn’t actually “believe all women.”

Feminist author Susan Faludi made a lame attempt in The New York Times to help feminists escape from their hypocrisy on believing all female “survivors” of sexual harassment or assault. Somehow, Faludi claimed, this isn’t true. They never said you should believe all women. She claimed this "canard" came from me on NewsBusters, among others.

The PBS NewsHour on Friday night reported on 74 interviews they did with Biden staffers about Tara Reade’s accusations and her short career in Biden’s office in 1993. It added up to helping Biden weather the accusation. Pundits David Brooks and Mark Shields said the idea Biden assaulted Reade looks "increasingly unlikely."

After hiding the Joe Biden sexual assault story for weeks, the networks caved and finally reported the accusations by Tara Reade. But while the ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening shows have now reluctantly covered the claim itself, they have ignored or downplayed important circumstantial evidence that corroborates Reade’s shocking allegation against the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

During an exclusive live interview on ABC’s Good Morning America on Tuesday, Joe Biden struggled to answer surprisingly challenging questions from co-host George Stephanopoulos about the controversy swirling around the Michael Flynn case. Meanwhile, the presumptive Democratic nominee escaped the conversation with only 39 seconds spent on Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegation against him.

NBC does not have the best history when it comes to the #MeToo movement or dealing with sexual harassment in general. The network of Matt Lauer, the network that buried the Harvey Weinstein story has another potential problem. The latest salvo in that conflict arrived on Sunday, when former NBC News reporter Emily Miller stated that the network “just fires the bad guys” when caught treating a female employee inappropriately.

Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver fancies himself a bold truth truth teller with his HBO show, but the liberal host has been hesitant to take on the Joe Biden sexual assault story, allowing a scant 26 seconds on the topic in the six shows since the allegations went public on March 25. That’s 26 seconds out of 180 minutes for the half hour talk show. In contrast, Oliver savaged Brett Kavanaugh during his nominations, concluding that the “monster” was likely guilty of sexual assault.

On Friday's Real Time show on HBO, liberal host Bill Maher repeated several pieces of misinformation to undermine Tara Reade's sexual assault accusations against Joe Biden as the HBO host accused his fellow liberals of giving too much attention to the story as Democratic nominee Biden runs against President Donald Trump.

As former Senate staffer Tara Reade gave her first on-camera interview detailing her sexual assault allegation against Joe Biden on Thursday, neither ABC’s World News Tonight that evening nor Friday’s Good Morning America mentioned the important development. While NBC and CBS did cover the story, both networks framed Reade’s public comments as a “response to Joe Biden’s strong denial.”

Even if the sexual assault allegations by former Joe Biden staff member Tara Reade turn out to be false there are still problems the former vice president faces. The first and most important of these is whether he can win his party's nomination. I'm generally suspicious when it comes to politics. Why has Reade waited until now to come forward? Biden has run for president before and several times for senator. He was vetted before Barack Obama picked him as his running mate. The timing seems too convenient.
