Even though the Obama presidency is winding down and he’s not officially on the ballot in November, MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews showed on Tuesday that he has more moments left in the tank with this one having him go numb in hailing the President as having “a little MLK” inside of him with a biblical-like delivery.
President Barack Obama spoke to reporters on Wednesday afternoon on the Paris climate change agreement and, almost on cue, NBC’s Ron Allen connected global warming to Hurricane Matthew set to bear down on the Bahamas, the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida. It was "what the president was talking about as the threat that the planet faces and this is what this whole climate agreement signed by 190 nations and now ratified by 60 or so is designed to stop."
Media Research Center president Brent Bozell took to the airwaves of the Fox News Channel (FNC) on Monday afternoon during Your World to excoriate the liberal media for their latest double standard in harping on a New York Times story on Donald Trump’s taxes versus leaked audio of Hillary Clinton disparaging Bernie Sanders supporters.
WASHINGTON — Did you see the interview over the weekend of a listless and, apparently, exhausted Hillary Clinton? Supposedly she has recovered from last week's bout with pneumonia, but she could have fooled me. Call me a hypochondriac, but in my opinion her recovery is not going very well.
With the first 2016 presidential debate approaching on Monday, a portion of Tuesday’s Hardball on MSNBC was dedicated to looking back at some iconic moments from past debates and host Chris Matthews used the time to express his sheer anger that still permeates four years later at Mitt Romney for his “terrible performance” in the first 2012 debate where he “walked in like he’s a better man” than President Obama.
Needless to say, the media were besides themselves on Friday in turning up the outrage machine at Donald Trump for dragging out his birtherism statement and aside from his lack of an apology for perpetuating the asinine belief about President Obama, few were willing to own up to their role in going along with Trump’s media circus.
In the hours following President Barack Obama’s campaign stop for Hillary Clinton on Tuesday afternoon in Philadelphia, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews was beyond giddy at the “magical” stump speech but he was later joined by Brian Williams, who declared on The 11th Hour that Obama will go down as “a communicator who can deliver” enthusiasm “unlike anything we have ever seen.”
Right from the start of Tuesday’s Hardball on MSNBC, it was clear that host Chris Matthews was in a giddy mood thanks to President Barack Obama having stumped hours earlier for Hillary Clinton. Of course, he was enamored from the get-go exclaiming that Obama was “back” and rhetorically asked viewers if they saw Obama’s Philadelphia rally so he could assert it included some “magical” lines.
Bill who? At a time when Mrs. Bill Clinton is running a race for president and suggesting husband Bill will play a role in her administration “in charge of revitalizing the economy, because, you know, he knows how to do it,” the media has been happy to cover he story as seen here in The New York Times.
The Federalist senior editor and 2015 Noel Sheppard Media Blogger of the Year Award recipient Mollie Heminway was at it again on Friday with a masterful takedown of the media for their double standard in mocking Mitt Romney’s warning about Russia in 2012 but expressing alarm in 2016 at Donald Trump’s infatuation with the oppressive country and their president in Vladimir Putin.
While speaking on Monday afternoon to the editor of the Louisiana newspaper that’s been critical of President Barack Obama’s vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard while the Bayou State floods, MSNBC Live host Stephanie Ruhle wanted to know why it was “so important that the President” tour the devastation because “it costs a lot of money” for him to go anywhere.
While Donald Trump was hate-tweeting on Monday morning about Morning Joe and the gossip site rumors surrounding co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, the latter co-host prided himself as being a Trump critic (he wasn’t) but more importantly called out the Obama administration and government for collectively having “blood on our hands” for the inaction in Syria’s civil war to, in part, preserve the Iran nuclear deal.
