For much of the day on Friday and into the weekend, various hosts on both CNN and MSNBC were hard at work smearing Fox News host Laura Ingraham as someone who uses her show to promote "racist" and "white supremacist" views as they reacted to a commentary she gave on The Ingraham Angle show in which she advocated for merit-based immigration and lamented dramatic "massive demographic" changes.

They’ve called him a racist, a cult leader, and a foreign agent, but now they’re going the full “Hitler.” After just recently digging up some “professionals” willing to claim that the Trump movement is aimed at taking down democracy, Salon writer Chauncey Devega found a history professor with even less professional self-respect.

On New Day Saturday, CNN host Christi Paul gave liberal MoveOn.org activist Anna Galland a forum to promote weekend protests against enforcing border security laws, which included references to the Holocaust against Jews in Nazi Germany as well as the internment of Japanese-Americans in the 1940s. The CNN host even sounded like she thought it was a good idea to make such comparisons as she suggested that it might be effective in winning people over.

On Monday's Deadline: White House, MSNBC contributor Steve Schmidt railed against President Donald Trump and his supporters as the former Republican-turned-Democrat complained that the Trump "faction" is "trying to impose systematic cruelty upon all the rest of us," and even threw in a Hitler reference as he invoked "Munich circa 1928." Even though the former John McCain campaign strategist last week announced via Twitter that "I renounce my membership in the Republican Party" and pledged to vote for Democrats in the future, he was still credited on screen as a "Republican strategist."

On Sunday's AM Joy, MSNBC host Joy Reid served up a double helping of "Meathead" as liberal film maker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, spent a segment ranting against President Donald Trump and his "hardcore racist" supporters. Michele Reiner invoked Nazi death camps as she called Trump "evil" and likened him to Adolf Hitler. Rob Reiner repeatedly accused Trump supporters of being "racists" if they agree that immigrants who cross the border illegally should be prosecuted, resulting in some being separated from their children during detention as required by law.

On Friday's Velshi and Ruhle show on MSNBC, host Ali Velshi joined in the liberal news network's recent spate of Bible-thumping to justify left-wing policy as he actually took out a large Christian Bible and read from it on camera. He also voiced agreement with his guest, Father James Martin, as the Jesuit priest declared that Attorney General Jeff Sessions is "weaponizing the Gospels and the Bible" against illegal immigrants.

We've come a long way from harmless playground jibes like “your mother wears combat boots,” to those of today from the likes of Samantha Bee and other leftist “entertainers” who say things about President Trump and his family that are so vulgar they can't be printed in a newspaper or quoted on television.

First, the liberal media were touting the so-called “blue wave” that was supposedly going to drain the swamp of Republicans in November. But on Thursday afternoon on MSNBC and later on NBC Nightly News, they were freaked out by a so-called “surge” of Nazi Republicans that were on the ballot in the 2018 midterms. Despite the fact they were fringe people with little to no chance of winning their general elections, reporter Morgan Radford relied on the Southern Poverty Law Center’s estimation that there were an imposing eight candidates across the country.

Early Tuesday night, Daily Caller media reporter Justin Caruso flagged some Grade A insanity on MSNBC’s Deadline: White House as Clinton-era Deputy Assistant Attorney General Harry Litman compared criticism of the Trump-Russia probe and calls for oversight to the Nazis bombing campaign on London in World War II (known as The Blitz).

On the same day a front-page Washington Post article chronicled the nationwide collapse of the Alt Right, Telemundo played up a deceptive and dishonest report about a minuscule march of National Socialists in Newnan, Georgia. The report by the Spanish-language sister network of NBC deliberately neglected to reveal just how small the group of Neo Nazis were (The New York Times reported two dozen) as well as the fact that all six arrests made were of masked Antifa counter-protesters.

On Wednesday morning, MSNBC anchors Stephanie Ruhle and Ali Velshi both on separate occasions highlighted a Nazi and perennial congressional candidate in Illinois who won the Republican nomination by default because no other candidates filed to run in the heavily Democratic district. Ruhle did not mention that Republicans have condemned his most recent congressional run -- only noting that they have done so in the past -- as she hinted that the GOP had "decided" this time not to run a candidate against him and that they were essentially "Yup, that's our guy."

On Monday afternoon, CNN political commentator and liberal Republican Ana Navarro ghoulishly paraphrased a quote by World War II-era pastor Martin Niemöller to equate embattled current and former Justice Department officials to those murdered by Adolf Hitler and the Nazis (aka President Trump) during the Holocaust.
