Netflix debuted Friends from College on Friday, July 14. The eight half hour episodes revolve around a group of six friends that were Harvard classmates and are now struggling to come to terms with turning 40.

After more than three weeks since Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election on November 8, the liberals in the entertainment industry still have not accepted the fact that Republican Donald Trump won the contest, and they use every chance they get to slam the president-elect.

One such incident was the Gotham Awards, which are held every year on the Monday after Thanksgiving in New York City, when actor Ethan Hawke stated: “Whenever faced with fascism, the artistic community generally rises to the occasion.”

Did President Obama do a standup comedy routine at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner? Not as much as he performed “a recital of brutal truths,” asserted Vox’s Klein in a Monday article.

For example, regarding Obama’s remark that his executive actions on climate change and immigration were “the right thing to do,” Klein noted, “That's not a joke. That's Obama's actual justification for the aggressive executive actions of his second term…[O]nly [at the WHCD] can [he] say what everyone already knows: his actions are huge, they are controversial, they push the norms of American politics, but fuck it, at a moment when American politics seems increasingly broken, Obama has decided to just go ahead and do what he thinks is right.”

Comedy Central is wrapping up the third season of “Key & Peele,” a sketch comedy show with Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, both veterans of “Mad TV” on Fox. Marisa Guthrie at The Hollywood Reporter asked about how they came up with their skit about Obama and “Luther the Anger Translator,” who expresses the anger Obama’s suppressing.

Key explained “We were trying to solve a comedic problem: How do you make fun of this man who is calm, reasonable, smooth, levelheaded, competent? Of course, we hoped it would be successful, but I don't know that we ever thought that he'd ever see it. What a gift for us to have actual confirmation.”
