During Friday afternoon’s MSNBC Live, host Katy Tur compared President Trump to a four-year-old. Here was Tur laying out her analogy: “We generally sometimes talk about the President in saying that the best way to get him not to do something, or to do something, is to tell him not to do something. That’s how you talk...that’s what happens with your four-year-old.” Behaving like a faithful MSNBC guest, Jonathan Lemire of the Associated Press agreed: “Yeah, my four-year-old, that is exactly how it works but that is, in some ways, how this President works. He doesn’t like to be told no.”
In similar fashion to their fellow lefties at CNN, MSNBC Live was beside itself on Thursday afternoon after President Trump’s letter canceling Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s overseas visits to Afghanistan, Brussels, and Egypt. Host Katy Tur and assembled panelists blasted the “childish” “man baby” of a President for actions further illustrating the need for his removal via impeachment or the 25th Amendment.
During an annual retreat in Philadelphia, president Barack Obama had some unusual advice for a closed-door gathering of Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives: “Get informed,” but “not by reading the Huffington Post.”“Keep your powder a little dry,” Obama said on Thursday, the same day the liberal website posted an opinion piece entitled “A Blueprint for Middle-Class Economics,” in which the president stated:
Leave it to the British press to once again do the job of real reporting that U.S. journalists apparently won't do.
This time, it's Tom Leonard at the UK Telegraph. From Flint, Michigan, he tells us of a "pioneering scheme" that involves tearing down entire neighborhoods and simply abandoning them -- oops, I'm sorry, I meant to say, "returning them to nature."
This is apparently what passes for sophisticated urban planning these days.
Here are key paragraphs from Leonard's story. Especially note the breathtaking anti-progress hostility of the idea's champion (bolds are mine; Getty picture at top right is from that story):
