Billionaire activist Tom Steyer is so left-wing, even Democrats have criticized his impeachment push. But rather than back down, Steyer pressed on, and insisted the “American people absolutely love” his impeachment campaign. “[W]hat you see is a bunch of people from inside Washington D.C. who find this threatening, but the American people absolutely love it,” Steyer said.
Billionaire climate activist and Democrat funder Tom Steyer has launched a single-handed attempt to make impeaching President Donald Trump the central issue of the 2018 midterm elections. Yet, not one broadcast network news show -- morning or evening -- has covered the story.
If timing is everything, billionaire far-left environmental alarmist Tom Steyer may have been snookered by Fox TV. Before Sunday night's World Series Game 5 broadcast in at least some TV markets, Fox carried Steyer's unhinged ad. It was soon followed by country music artist Clay Walker's stirring rendition of the national anthem — and from all appearances, there wasn't a kneeler or a raised fist anywhere in sight on the field at Houston's Minute Maid Park.
The damage from Hurricane Irma may have been less than feared, but the New York Times won’t give up using it as a cynical prod to enact costly legislation and regulation in the name of fighting “climate change” while portraying Republicans as stubborn fools for standing in the way and who will hopefully get swamped by a surging floodtide of public opinion (a prediction the media keeps making, in vain). Alexander Burns reported in Friday’s New York Times, “As Severe Storms Shift Climate Debate, G.O.P. Leaders Remain Unbent."
If there were any doubts about how interconnected left-wing groups and donors are, Michael Bloomberg and Carl Pope’s new book, Climate of Hope, puts them to rest. George Soros, major financer of the left-wing agenda, was mentioned in the very first paragraph of the first chapter. Climate of Hope was released April 18, 2017, in an effort to show how cities and businesses can “save the planet” from catastrophic climate change.
Media outlets hyped former vice president Al Gore’s recent meeting with President-Elect Donald Trump. Since becoming a full time climate alarmist Gore has earned wealth and the accolades of the liberal news and entertainment media. His slideshow turned him into the “darling of Hollywood” according to the news media.
If you asked a hundred conservatives to name the de facto flagship publication of American liberalism, The New York Times probably would get more mentions than any other. Still, it hasn’t been hard to find lefties upset with the paper about matters such as its supposed longstanding hostility toward Bill and Hillary Clinton. How the Times, especially its coverage of the e-mail story, may have made Hillary’s defeat more likely has been a post-election buzz topic on the left. Liberal strategist Jamison Foser, whose affiliations have included the Democratic National Committee and, currently, the Tom Steyer-led NextGen Climate, crystallized the lefty disgruntlement with the Times in a tweetstorm in response to a fellow liberal who argued that “we have to support the NYTimes right now more than ever.”
It isn’t just the news media censoring viewpoints on climate change anymore. According to a WikiLeaks email, the left-wing website Think Progress took responsibility for getting a professor ousted from writing at Nate Silver’s 538 blog. The professor diverged from Think Progress’ climate alarmist views by challenging claims that global warming causes more extreme weather.
The mounting archive of WikiLeaks emails between Hillary Clinton and her staff continues to reveal the Democratic presidential candidate’s special relationship with members of the liberal news media. Not only did she hold an off the record dinner with “influential reporters, anchors, and editors” just before officially launching her presidential bid, but reporters also asked for interviews promising the kind “she wants” or submitting copy for pre-approval before publishing it.
Gone are the days when billionaire Tom Steyer focused his political spending solely on climate change. With the 2016 election only weeks away, the liberal donor has expanded his scope to include virtually anything left-wing, despite claiming there is “too much emphasis on money in politics.”
Billionaire climate activist Tom Steyer has taken to doctoring his own biographical history to make himself seem more genuine.
In a Sept. 28, interview on MSNBC’s All in with Chris Hayes, Steyer told Hayes that his climate “conversion” happened a full ten years earlier than it actually did. Unfortunately for Steyer -- but fortunately for everyone who cares to know the truth -- he told a very different story in June 2014.
Three years after liberal environmentalist Tom Steyer bullied Californians into not opposing the Clean Energy Jobs Act, the payoffs have failed to materialize. Steyer promised that the Act, which was little more than a tax hike on corporations, would create 11,000 new green jobs and raise $1 billion in revenue each year. So far it’s more than 30,000 jobs and $2 billion short.
The media have ignored the dismal progress of the California Act. Not a single network has discussed the Act’s failure, and the results have just begun to get attention after an August 17 Associated Press report.
