Hollywood has priorities: hate on Trump, stay politically relevant, and look good. If the most liberal of them are freaking out about a GOP bill, something good must be happening.
So it should come as no surprise that while the GOP tries to push Obamacare Repeal, Tinseltown’s brightest come to the rescue with some interesting tweets to protest. Jim Carrey shared a picture of a hurricane swirling around Republican Congressmen, with the caption, “While another storm heads r way, craven republican sock puppets in service of shameless greed, try AGAIN 2 ravage healthcare. #sickening.”
Well, Hollywood celebrities and other elite liberals reacted about like you’d expect to the Trump administration’s decision to rescind Obama’s unconstitutional Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy. The overwhelming accusations of racism and hatred levied by Hollywood’s loudest (and most privileged) in the past two or three days have glossed over the context of the DACA policy, the decision to overturn it, and the potential consequences (which are unknown at this point).
Fusion has gone through many iterations and mission shifts over the course of its brief existence as an English-language Univision affiliate. Throughout, however, the network has remained consistent in one aspect: its advocacy for far-left domestic political causes. with its latest paean to Planned Parenthood being but the most recent example.
In an interview earlier this week, an MSNBC host appeared more worried than even Planned Parenthood’s president over the push to defund the abortion giant. On Tuesday, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards appeared on Lawrence O’Donnell’s MSNBC show, The Last Word, to discuss the GOP health care bill and its inability to win enough support in the Senate.
Abortion and cherry pies: that’s what Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richards does best. According to People magazine, she is the “Wonder Woman” of abortion rights. The interview, posted on People on July 12, called the president of the Planned Parenthood Federation a “passionately committed dynamo” who is “marshaling thousands in the battle” for lots of abortions.
On June 20, 2017, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards wrote a misleading open letter to Donald Trump just before his visit to Iowa. She called her multi-million dollar abortion organization “lifesaving” and claimed Planned Parenthood closures would cause many to lose health care - among blatant other lies.
Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards was a guest on Netflix’s Chelsea in the episode titled “Changing the Climate” which aired on June 1, 2017. Following liberal activist comedienne Sarah Silverman - who talked of raising money for women to get transportation to appointments at Planned Parenthood facilities in Texas - both women exaggerated their arguments in support of government funding for the abortion provider.
Hollywood director and outspoken progressive Joss Whedon is using his film talents to keep the nation’s largest abortion provider in business, ironically calling anyone who would shut it down “inhuman.”
Healthcare has gone to the dogs – or should, according to the head of America’s largest abortion provider. On Tuesday, Late Night host Seth Meyers invited Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards on his show as a guest. During their time together, Meyers fawned over Richards as she bashed Congress over the impending healthcare bill and ironically worried about women’s “healthy” pregnancies.
