S.E. Cupp Unfiltered
CNN boss Jeff Zucker sent out his liberal media dung-shovelers over the weekend to try to clean up the mess they made by buying into the Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy theory. During Saturday’s Unfiltered, host S.E. Cupp and media correspondent Brian Stelter took to bashing Fox News for boasting about their proper neutral stance for the last two years. At one point, Cupp equated Fox News to a date rape drug and suggested they were knocking people out cover-up the story.
With the Democratic primary field becoming more crowded by the week, the left has inevitably started to eat their own as wild and head-scratching stories about the candidates began to fly every which way. During Saturday’s S.E. Cupp Unfiltered, the show’s namesake (who’s supposed to be a conservative) was in a tizzy because the left was causing some real damage to itself and was essentially helping to reelect President Trump.
The liberal media got burned by Jussie Smollett’s apparent hate crime hoax because they wanted to believe the cartoonish image they concocted for Trump supporters and conservatives. The media ate it hook line and sinker and ran with it without the facts. But on Saturday, CNN media reporter and host of the so-call “Reliable Sources” program, Brian Stelter tied to distance the media from their shame.
During Saturday’s edition of S.E. Cupp Unfiltered, the eponymous host gloated about President Trump’s decision to “cave” to the Democrats as she opened her show. She later had some unusual analysis when it came to the border wall, arguing that a handful of President Trump’s supporters have a “sexual fetish” for a wall on the southern border with Mexico.
With Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh newly sworn into the Supreme Court, CNN host S.E. Cupp wanted to discuss how “the media has played a starring role” in tearing down the Judge during her Unfiltered program. CNN media reporter Brain Stelter joined her Saturday evening where they defended the media’s antics and downplayed their anti-Kavanaugh fervor as simple “sloppiness.”
During an obnoxious appearance on the Wednesday edition of HLN’s S.E. Cupp Unfiltered, CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta opened up and showcased his true disdain for Trump supporters after they booed and heckled him at a rally the night before. According to Acosta, when he was surrounded by those Trump supporters in Tampa Bay, Florida, “Honestly, it felt like we weren't in America anymore. I don't know how to put it any more plainly than that.”
Reacting on Thursday morning’s CNN Newsroom to Samantha Bee’s jumbled apology the night prior for calling First Daughter Ivanka Trump the c-word, CNN political commentator and HLN host S.E. Cupp took Bee to task for her apology being “couched in like a dozen different codicils” and, worst of all, “virtue-signaling” without a heartfelt apology to Ivanka herself.
To begin Thursday’s edition of HLN’s Unfiltered, host S.E. Cupp walked her viewers through how the liberal media’s double standard for punishing vile comments works. Between Roseanne Barr, Keith Olbermann, Joy Reid, and now Samantha Bee, there were a plethora of examples for her to choose from. But her most stern and forceful condemnation was reserved for ESPN and their parent company Disney for hiring Olbermann despite his membership in what she called the “misogynists’ club.”
During Wednesday’s S.E. Cupp Unfiltered, CNN senior media reporter Brian Stelter and HLN host S.E. Cupp bought into Stahl’s questionable claims and used them to bash the President as a beacon to authoritarian dictators the world over. “So what I've been saying for 18 months is confirmed,” Cupp self-righteously declared. “President Trump's war on the media is intentional and the goal is to create confusion and sow distrust.”
The liberal media made fools out of themselves Wednesday as nearly every major news outlet rushed to breathlessly report that President Trump had called all illegal immigrants to the United States “animals.” Of course, the glaring problem with their claims was that they were totally false. And despite the fact the media had to issue reams of retractions and corrections, NBC Nightly News and Spanish-language networks Univision and Telemundo kept up the charade Thursday evening.
Just two days after entertainment magazine Variety published former NBC correspondent Linda Vester’s sexual harassment allegations against NBC legend Tom Brokaw, more than 60 women from the network signed their names to a letter defending his character. But on Tuesday, it was revealed that NBC had put tremendous pressure on the women to sign the letter. On Unfiltered that evening, host S.E. Cupp ripped into them for rushing to his defense as two additional women have spoken out.
Normally, HLN’s S.E. Cupp Unfiltered can be counted on to push back against the liberal media when they get stirred up into one of their nonsensical frenzies with the most recent case being the gun control debate. But on Tuesday, Cupp parroted the CNN company line by condemning Sinclair Broadcast Group as nothing more than state-owned propaganda. She even took it a step farther and compared them to Heaven’s Gate suicide cult.
