After losing the presidential election ten months ago, Hillary Clinton is still on the blame game tour, this time to promote her election memoir What Happened, which was released today, September 12. She continued the whining and pointing of fingers during her appearance on the liberal podcast, “Pod Save America,” which is hosted by former speechwriters for President Obama.
What a difference a year can make if those 12 months are spent no longer working for MSNBC. In the case of Ed Schultz, it means he'll now occasionally demonstrate a capacity for common sense.
In addition to his nightly News with Ed Schultz on the Kremlin-backed RT (Russia Today) network, the ex-MSNBCer also puts out a daily podcast and YouTube video titled Ed Schultz News and Commentary. As was the case with most of the media, Schultz this week responded to Donald Trump's comments about Hillary Clinton's opposition to the Second Amendment. Where Schultz parted company with most other media was in his even-handed assessment.
Only a week after returning to the airwaves after deciding that even for a liberal she was too young to retire in her mid-50s, Randi Rhodes has staked a firm claim on the churlish end of left-wing commentary.
The ex-Air America Radio host, now venting via podcasts and a Kickstarter-funded website, let loose last week with what those deemed more balanced would consider a peculiar irritation.
Talk about timing -- a liberal radio host arguably best known for once labeling Hillary Clinton "a big f***ing whore" relaunches her show on the same day Clinton dodges prosecution after putting national security at risk through the use of private, vulnerable email servers while secretary of state.
If you remember Randi Rhodes, most likely it's for vilifying Clinton (and Geraldine Ferraro, the Dems' VP candidate in 1984), during the '08 campaign. The resulting uproar got Rhodes in hot water with the now-defunct Air America Radio, the same network that spawned Rachel Maddow and Al Franken, followed by Rhodes getting fired or moving on of her own accord, depending on who can be believed.
Best criticism this month of aspiring Scold-in-Chief Elizabeth Warren comes by way of former conservative turned liberal bullhorn Ed Schultz.
Ed Schultz is probably best known to NewsBusters readers from his five-year run at MSNBC until given the boot last summer. He also hosted one of the top-ranked liberal radio shows -- agreed, it's a short list -- for a decade before putting it behind him two years ago, though he's continued to post News and Commentary videos on YouTube when not spouting the Kremlin line at the Putin-backed propaganda organ RT, also known as Russia Today.
Politico’s Glenn Thrush – the liberal reporter who confessed to President Obama that he had “candidate envy” in 2008, since he was stuck on the Hillary Clinton bus – carried Hillary’s water in a new interview with Jill Abramson, the recently deposed Executive Editor of the New York Times. Abramson agreed Clinton suffers from media bias and “does get more scrutiny” than other candidates, especially male candidates. On the scandal over Mrs. Clinton’s private e-mail server, Abramson wondered: “Why is that a big deal?”
Looks like it might be time for Harvard to mandate remedial geography instruction for its students.
Following a grueling week of campaign coverage in Iowa, along with taking part in a friend's wedding, National Public Radio reporter Sam Sanders was told by his editors to take a day off -- and then get back to work by covering a Donald Trump rally in New Hampshire.
"Every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be heard, believed and supported," Hillary Clinton tweeted in November while temporarily banishing all memories associated with her husband.
Former MSNBCer Ed Schultz, now podcasting daily since getting booted from the cable network last summer and ending his radio show in 2014, apparently agrees with Hillary Clinton -- although there's a specific victim of alleged sexual assault she'd like to banish from everyone's memory.
As Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) gradually fades among liberals after its decade-long stint atop their stack of pathologies, a newly diagnosed condition known as Completely Unhinged over Citizens United (CUCU) is supplanting it.
Even though BDS is unlikely to wholly depart from the liberal psyche, which appears to draw sustenance from its presence despite the obvious toll on left-wingers' health, eruptions of the new malady still occur with alarming frequency.
Got a soft spot for the oldest written constitution in the world, the one for which every president upon taking office must swear an oath to preserve, protect and defend?
Then you're clearly a "jackass" according to Ed Schultz, who joins a long sordid list of lefties who can't hide their contempt for the founding charter that George Washington once described as "a guide which I will never abandon." Yes, he was the Father of our Country, but clearly didn't have a clue.
A government shutdown over federal funding for Syrian refugees and Planned Parenthood is unlikely, albeit slightly, Congressman John Yarmuth assured Ed Schultz.
But if this occurs, Yarmuth added, Republicans will get blamed for it -- regardless of whether they are actually responsible. And Yarmuth apparently doesn't have a problem with this bizarre, cynical scenario, nor does Schultz.
Ed Schultz condemning others for "hateful rhetoric" -- hypocrisy doesn't get more sublime than that.
Schultz, you probably remember, vilified Laura Ingraham as a "right-wing slut" on his radio show in 2011, resulting in a two-week suspension from MSNBC.
His take on GOP opposition to Obamacare? "They want to see you dead! They'd rather make money off your dead corpse!"
