CNN brings back Chris Cuomo to guest host on his former show, New Day. Cuomo proceeds to blast AG Bill Barr over his handling of the Mueller report, as if he's merely shielding the president. Cuomo also indulges in a humble brag about his looks.

New York Times columnist Frank Bruni claimed on CNN's New Day on Wednesday that President Donald Trump lacks the smarts to understand the full Mueller report. "I'm imagining someone doing a slideshow, you know, with little captions, here's what the report says. He may not. He doesn't have that sort of discipline or span of attention."

Hours before the Notre Dame Cathedral fire with cable news channels moving into rolling coverage from Paris, Monday morning’s New Day featured numerous analysts, commentators, hosts, and journalists defending Minnesota Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar’s comments downplaying the September 11, 2001 attacks and blasting the President for “taking [her] words out of context” and causing her to grapple with death threats.

Appearing on CNN’s New Day Thursday, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper weighed in on Attorney General William Barr’s testimony on Capitol Hill earlier in the week; particularly taking issue with his declaration that “spying did occur” on the Trump campaign at the hands of the intelligence community. Clapper also told co-host Alisyn Camerota that he could not “speak specifically” to what the FBI did, an apparent 180 from his denial that the FBI spied on the Trump campaign during an appearance on The View a year earlier.

CNN legal analyst says that "for the rest of her life," Kirstjen Nielsen, who is resigning as Homeland Security Secretary, will "get what she deserves" for having implemented family-separation policies and for having "put children in cages."

On CNN's New Day Sunday, co-hosts Christi Paul and Victor Blackwell devoted a segment to interviewing the producers of the liberal propaganda film, Rigged: The Voter Suppression Playbook, which accuses Republicans of engaging in "voter suppression" against minorities to hurt Democrats. The two hosts also adopted the loaded term "voter suppression" and repeatedly employed it during the segment as if it were neutral, proper terminology.

On New Day Saturday, CNN co-hosts Victor Blackwell and Christi Paul provided an unchallenged forum to an anti-deportation activist who recently went viral in a video showing him refusing to cooperate with ICE agents who were trying to arrest two illegal immigrants who were inside his car.

In the aftermath of the Georgia state legislature passing a heartbeat bill that would protect unbabies from abortion after a heartbeat can be detected, CNN's New Day Saturday host Christi Paul focused the show's coverage primarily on liberals who object to the bill, and even interviewed a Democratic state legislator who had made news by going on a rant against Republican Governor Brian Kemp.

The Sunday afternoon letter from Attorney General Bill Barr on the Mueller report has rocked the political world and burst more than a few bubbles in the liberal media, most notably their years-long insistence that the President and/or his team colluded with Russia. Some journalists have conceded this reality, while others are mimicking Japanese soldiers still fighting World War II in 1971.

You knew this was coming. For two years, Robert Mueller was a secular saint of the liberal media. But now that he has issued a report not to the MSM's liking, Mueller's halo is tarnished, and overnight he's become fair game for criticism. An opening salvo of the MSM attack on Mueller was launched on CNN's New Day this morning. CNN legal analyst Laura Coates said she was "completely unsatisfied" by the Mueller report, claiming it is "really atrocious" that Mueller did not rule on the question of obstruction of justice.

For much of Thursday, a number of CNN and MSNBC hosts predictably reacted to the quick enaction of new gun restrictions in New Zealand by lamenting the fact that U.S. political leaders are not so willing to restrict the rights of its citizens to own guns, and mostly had guests who bolstered their left-leaning views.

Following Friday's mosque shooting in New Zealand, the liberal media have not hesitated to portray President Trump as a white supremacist or a white nationalist.  Their depiction of the President as a white nationalist continued on New Day Monday, when CNN Chief Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin described President Trump’s “personal grievance” as “precisely consistent with the white nationalist agenda.”
