U.S. Inspector General findings that Hillary Clinton evidently mishandled - and potentially compromised - national security information through her rogue email practices as secretary of state of the United States were the subject of scrutiny on the nation’s top Spanish-language networks. So far, Telemundo has dedicated the most time to the developing story, while Univision and MundoFox coverage of the matter has been limited to news briefs.

While English-networks ABC and NBC combined with Spanish-language networks MundoFox, Telemundo, and Univision on Thursday night to skip testimony from Secretary of State John Kerry in a Senate hearing on the Iran deal, CBS covered it in a news brief, but only summarized it and ignored false statements by Kerry as he faced criticism from both sides of the aisle. In contrast, the FNC's Special Report not only had a full segment on the hearing, but a takedown of three claims by Kerry.

Presidential candidate Rick Santorum’s stand in favor of the American worker has earned him a direct attack on MundoFox. Following Santorum’s campaign announcement, MundoFox dedicated a full segment of its national newscast to an analysis of Santorum’s position on the relation between U.S. immigration policy, jobs and salaries in the labor market.

On Wednesday night, major broadcast networks CBS and NBC showed no interest in shedding light on the findings of new Quinnipiac poll that found Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s honest and trustworthy ratings are continuing to fall and she trails three possible GOP opponents in three battleground states. While the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News focused exclusively on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, ABC’s World News Tonight made time to report on both Trump and Clinton.

Following the release on Tuesday of a second video by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) depicting a Planned Parenthood executive discussing the selling of body parts from aborted babies, ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News teamed with the top Spanish-language networks to completely ignore the video. Stepping out from behind ABC and NBC and Spanish-language networks MundoFox, Telemundo, and Univision, the CBS Evening News offered a two-minute report on CMP’s second video.

In covering Hillary Clinton’s recent rollout of her economic agenda for the country, the Spanish-language MundoFox network provided an uncritical platform for the leading Democratic candidate’s attack against Republican rival, Jeb Bush, for his comment about the need for people to work longer hours.

Though their English-counterparts have provided full reports on the scandal involving Planned Parenthood’s alleged unborn organ trafficking, the top Spanish-language television networks have almost entirely ignored the undercover video, made by the pro-life organization Center for Medical Progress that recorded Planned Parenthood’s Dr. Deborah Nucatola explaining her organization’s involvement in trafficking the body parts of aborted babies.
