When President Trump announced them in early January, many in the liberal media thought that the Fake News Awards were a bluff and he wouldn’t go through with them. But after having previously been postponed, Trump unveiled the “winners” Wednesday night. Out of the top 10 instances of fake news, CNN was sloppy enough to win four awards with the top spot going to The New York Times. The awards twice noted a Media Research Center study that showed 90 percent of the media’s coverage of him was negative.
In a report by Vanity Fair published Tuesday, writer Joe Pompeo wrote how “[The New York Times] is ‘torn’ about whether Glenn Thrush should lose his job over sexual-misconduct allegations.” According to the numerous sources he spoke with inside the Times, the executives were waiting for their internal investigation to turn up more details.
The Left is incessantly freaking about all sorts of things - about which very little freaking is actually necessary. The Media is - by-and-large - the Left’s megaphone. About whatever the Left is freaking - you’ll find the Media freaking. Only louder, with many, MANY more outlets with which to amplify the freaking. The advent of the Internet - has exponentially increased the number of outlets through which the Media can freak.
At The New Yorker on Tuesday, Jeffrey Frank reached what one hopes is the worst we'll see of Trump Derangement Syndrome — but don't get your hopes up. Frank, in attempting to analyze what might have caused registered Democrat Rene Boucher to attack Senator Rand Paul two weeks ago, blamed "the sinister banality of American life ... with a lot of it these days emanating from Donald J. Trump."
The most recent cover of Time Magazine — or I should say what's left of it, given its parent company's recent decision "reducing ... circulation and frequency" of the formerly iconic publication — calls President Donald Trump's cabinet "The Wrecking Crew" on a mission of "dismantling government as we know it." Separate reports singled out EPA Director Scott Pruitt, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and HUD Secretary Ben Carson for scrutiny.
Three NewsBusters posts on Thursday documented attacks by far-leftists and members of the media on Trump administration Chief of Staff and retired General John Kelly's reaction that afternoon to Florida Democratic Congresswoman Frederica Wilson's accusation that President Donald Trump, during a private phone call to the widow of fallen soldier La David Johnson, "disrespected" him.
Time magazine’s September 18 issue is devoted to “Firsts: Women Who Are Changing the World.” The largest spread of text and photography was for Hillary Rodham Clinton, the first woman to win a major party’s nomination for president. The pull quote was inspirational, in powder blue, at the top of the page: “I don’t want anyone to be discouraged by my defeat. We can’t give up trying.” But the picture looked like she just walked away from a burial, and her interview response was a bite of bitter melon about Jim Comey and Russia ruining things.
The liberal media’s favorite Christians are the liberal Christians, the ones who think there’s too much emphasis on abortion and homosexuality....and are fine with both. Time’s “Ten Questions” interview in the August 28 issue features "Texas pastor" Jen Hatmaker, a liberal author and blogger who’s horrified by Donald Trump and thinks evangelicals need to loosen up.
The pull quote in the magazine is this: “If we are following Christ literally, then nobody’s humanity is up for grabs. Nobody. That is a non-negotiable.” This is NOT a quote about abortion. It’s a quote about “LGBTQ issues.”
On Thursday, a federal court judge in New York made what Eriq Gardner at the Hollywood Reporter called an "unusual move" in Sarah Palin's libel lawsuit against the New York Times. It is indeed extraordinarily unusual, and would appear not to bode well for the Times — which likely explains why the paper's colleagues in the establishment press are, for the most part, either not reporting it at all or inadequately reporting it.
Former Bush administration official, former failed McCain campaign aide, and current MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace was featured in Sunday’s New York Times Magazine in which she promoted her liberal tilt compared to other Republicans and complained that “there’s no other news” besides President Trump.
The disgraced Keith Olbermann continues to spew his incoherent ramblings on the platform GQ gives him. In an episode of the Resistance with Keith Olbermann titled "The Media Must Fight Back," posted on July 20, he declared CNN should dox the guy who posted the wrestling GIF of Trump beating CNN and that "War has been declared on the values of this country by the man in charge of this country."
Diane Stopyra attacked the new phenomenon of gender-reveal parties for pregnant women in a Sunday item for Cosmopolitan. Stopyra contended that such celebrations are "potentially damaging to said tiny humans," and that they exclude "a cross-section of the population out, adding to a culture of trans and intersex shame." The feminist writer also took aim at baby showers in general, and claimed, "We'd be better off showing the little girls in attendance that changing the world is every bit as much a female prerogative as bedazzling onesies."
