These are the rules of the militant open borders media: If you are a self-declared Donald Trump-hating “activist journalist” who works for an ethnic separatist TV network that unapologetically elevates illegal immigrants over American citizens, you get to be a “moderator” at the next Democratic presidential candidates' debate. Case in point: Univision's Jorge Ramos.

Once again Entravision, the nation’s largest Univision affiliate group, is going to bat for Planned Parenthood; this time, over the abortion behemoth’s decision to forego federal funding rather than comply with changes made by the Trump Administration to Title X.

The liberal media’s narrative that President Trump was somehow responsible for the mass shooting in El Paso last weekend has apparently expanded to also include Fox News. According to Univision anchor Enrique Acevedo, during an appearance on CNN’s so-called “Reliable Sources”, Trump and Fox News host Tucker Carlson were responsible for rhetoric “transcending into violence, into bullets”, and into lives lost.

As the blackface/KKK scandal consumed Democratic Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, the party was calling for him to resign and to let “rising star” Justin Fairfax, the lieutenant governor, take over. But the young Democrat had his own problem in the form of a new sexual assault allegation. Despite the Monday accusations being seen by some as serious and credible, that evening’s ABC World News Tonight ignored them while hawking Fairfax’s ascension. And NBC downplayed the allegations by adopting Fairfax’s terms.

In one of the more blatant cases of bias by omission in memory, the nation’s leading Spanish-language newscasts blacked out any mention of President Trump’s recent roundtable with a group of Hispanic pastors from all over the country.

Chicagoland Congressman Luis Gutiérrez has been a regular staple of Spanish-language TV news shows for three decades, but that era is about to come to a close as his retirement approaches. As the Spanish-language newscasts scramble to find their next congressional bombthrower, we at MRC Latino want to give Gutiérrez a proper send-off.

Stocks set records, consumer confidence shot up, and economic growth estimates were revised up.

These three good economic news stories happened back to back to back on Aug. 27-29. Meanwhile, ABC World News Tonight, CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News ignored all three on those nights.

On the morning of July 6, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that Hispanic unemployment in the United States had reached its lowest level, 4.6%, in the 45 years since the agency first started keeping records on the statistic, back in 1973. One would think such a historic achievement would be news that night on the nation’s leading Spanish-language television news programs, but that was not the case.

In the midst of wrapping up a media tour hawking his latest book and on the heels of what he considers – because of the election of Donald Trump – the ‘worst time’ of his 35 years in the United States, Univision anchor Jorge Ramos now says he’s pining to return to Mexico.

Time is everything, especially when it comes to understanding the media’s priorities. At the end of January, there were two marches the same weekend both claiming to stand for women. But the network coverage was anything but similar.

President Trump has observed that the media spend “as little time as possible” discussing positive economic news. The judgement of America’s “News Analyst in Chief” also certainly applies to the national Spanish-language media - a media segment that had special reason to inform their audiences of the latest unemployment numbers, as unemployment among Hispanics has now fallen to a record low of 4.7%.

Latino Victory is short, apparently, for Latino Victory At All Costs, as evidenced by the disgusting ad with which the organization has chosen to make a splash in the 2017 Virginia gubernatorial election. More troubling still is the fact that both major domestic Spanish-language television networks have so far ignored both the ad and its blowback in their national evening newscasts.
