Erin Burnett OutFront
The media have found themselves inflicted with another case of Trump Derangement Syndrome after President Trump unleashed a series of tweets pertaining to immigration and DACA. During Monday's edition of CNN's Erin Burnett OutFront, host Erin Burnett asked President Trump's former deputy campaign manager if there was "any way to interpret our country as being stolen when you are referring to immigrants coming from the south as anything other than racist."
On Saturday night, during special coverage of the anti-gun March for Our Lives rally on CNN, host Erin Burnett displayed a classic example of the media double standard on guns in which a guest who supports gun rights gets debated on the issue, but guests who support more control have their liberal views unchallenged or even further pressed from the left.
Do you remember when CNN's James Clapper was caught lying to the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2013 when he was still the Director of National Intelligence in response to a question about whether the NSA collected data on millions of Americans? Well, the good news for Clapper is he might be exonerated since it could be that it was not him but his "evil twin" that was the one who was doing the lying.
Clapper made the suggestion on Friday about his "evil twin" lying instead of him on CNN during an interview with Erin Burnett. Because President Donald Trump tweeted about Clapper's inconsistent testimony about his media contacts, Burnett had no choice but to ask him about it.
On Wednesday, CNN reported that their infamous anonymous sources were giving them hints at what questions Special Counsel Robert Mueller was planning the ask President Trump during a possible in-person interview. “Obviously the four buckets we now know about … the firing of Comey and Flynn, that statement on Air Force One, and that infamous meeting at Trump Tower,” stated CNN anchor Erin Burnett during OutFront. From there, she and her stacked liberal panel unleashed a flood of speculation.
CNN, the alleged “facts first” network, made an absurd and egregious comparison last night on Twitter, demonizing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials as comparable to the Nazis. In a March 14 tweet, CNN touted their own report of a Jewish woman taking in illegal immigrants, “driven by thoughts of the Holocaust:”
It was quite a sight on the Thursday editions of CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront and MSNBC’s Hardball as liberal journalists heaped effusive praise on President Trump for his “remarkable,” “significant,” and “stunning” willingness to meet soon with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. All the while, each network’s former Obama administration officials experienced weapons-grade meltdowns.
At the Jeffrey Zucker-led CNN, they can be trusted to go all-out whenever they find a news story that they deem worth obsessing over. Whether it was the missing Malaysian plane or Sam Nunberg, CNN has proven itself incapable of covering more than one topic at a time. On Wednesday, CNN’s primetime programming showed that with over 149 minutes pushing the Trump scandal involving porn star Stormy Daniels and another 86 minutes on other Trump-related scandals.
The largest media spectacle on Monday, by far, was former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg’s rapid meltdown as he furiously jumped from cable news show to cable news show to taunt Special Counsel Robert Mueller for issuing him a subpoena. And in the midst of his whirlwind afternoon and evening, concerns from his friends began to surface questioning his mental state. It all came to a head on CNN’s OutFront where host Erin Burnett admitted that she could smell alcohol on his breath.
CNN’s organizational hypocrisy was on full display Wednesday night as host Erin Burnett kicked off OutFront by declaring that “Republicans are at it again” with their crazy conspiracy theories! Turns out, the alleged conspiracy theory was just a question raised by Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson in his Homeland Security Committee’s interim report on the Clinton e-mail scandal.
Early Thursday night, the White House released the parameters of an immigration plan being sent to Congress, which included legalizating 1.8 million illegal immigrants. However, this dramatic attempt at a compromise fell on deaf ears at CNN. From 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Eastern, CNN devoted an astonishing 11 times more coverage to the Trump-Russia probe, discrediting the Peter Strzok-Lisa Page scandal, and obsessing over porn star Stormy Daniels than the immigration plan.
On Tuesday, President Trump tweeted he would be “announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR” on Monday “in various categories from the Fake News Media." There’s bias, but then there’s sheer incompetence. The biggest media obsession last year was the search for evidence of Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia, in the process, liberal reporters in 2017 repeatedly stumbled into error and were forced to make embarrassing corrections. This post presented eight possible choices that the President could consider.
The narrative that blacks are violently targeted by police officers out of racism is so entrenched in the media that journalists sometimes forget that some police officers involved in widely-reported violence with black suspects are either black or Hispanic, and not white. On Thursday's Erin Burnett OutFront, CNN correspondent Drew Griffin mistakenly identified the police officer who tragically killed black motorist Philando Castile as being "white" even though former Officer Jeronimo Yanez is Hispanic.
