Erin Burnett OutFront
Over the past couple of weeks, the broadcast networks and CNN have shown a blatant double standard in their interest in whites being caught on video victimizing minorities in contrast with whites being the victims, or minorities being the attackers.
With just a couple hours before President Trump announced his nomination to the Supreme Court, CNN’s Erin Burnett brought on SCOTUS selection adviser and Federalist Society head Lenard Leo to discuss the criteria for the pick. Of course, she only focused on their positions regarding Roe v. Wade and parroted Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) who proclaimed all the possible candidates just “right-wing extremists.”
On the eve of America’s Birthday, CNN played up a Gallup poll that suggested only 47 percent of Americans were “extremely proud” to be an American during Tuesday's edition of OutFront. To get their own unofficial tally on the mood of the country, the network found it amusing to send out reporter Jeanne Moos to interview New Yorkers about their level of patriotism. Of course, they highlighted the bitter anti-Trump liberals of the city.
On CNN last night, another political discussion went off the rails as the liberal host pitted a conservative against a liberal on a hot button topic and only stepped in to stoke the flames. Ironically enough, the topic was civility, and if Rep. Maxine Waters’ controversial comments over the weekend, encouraging liberals to harass Republicans were justified. Angela Rye, CNN political commentator and former Congressional Black Caucus adviser, defended Waters, while former advisor for Trump’s Hispanic Advisory Council Steve Cortes attacked the remarks, on Erin Burnett Outfront, June 26.
Comedian Tom Arnold's funniest performance might have happened on the evening of June 22. He didn't even intend to be funny but his epic meltdown during his interview about the supposed Trump tapes with Poppy Harlow who was substituting for Erin Burnett is destined to be viewed by millions as comedy relief. Besides the hilarious notion that he and former Donald Trump lawyer Michael Cohen are buddies despite only a chance meeting for a quick selfie photo, Arnold experienced two embarrassingly long brain freezes during the interview.
Appearing on CNN shows Thursday night and Friday morning, law enforcement analyst and former FBI Supervisory Special Agent James Gagliano slammed former FBI Director James Comey in context of the Justice Department’s IG report for having been “the least equipped lifeguard” to lead the FBI who “created a culture around him of young, callow, inexperienced agents.”
These people can be so predictable. Hours after his angry outburst during Thursday’s White House Press Briefing, Playboy writer, Sentinel Newspapers editor, and CNN political analyst Brian Karem was given a hero’s welcome on Erin Burnett OutFront to expand on his squabble with Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders over the detention of illegal immigrant children.
When the two leaders were just a couple of hours from meeting each other, the liberal media were grasping at straws to find some way to attack and discredit the summit. On Monday’s (U.S. time) edition of CNN’s OutFront, host Erin Burnett was so desperate to find something to complain and fear monger about she actually suggested Trump was too jetlagged to be effective. It was something her panel pounced on to sew concern about the President’s ability to strike a deal.
On Monday's Erin Burnett Outfront, and again on Tuesday's New Day, CNN ran a full report which devoted more than twice as much time to the more liberal candidate, Stacey Abrams, who is competing in Georgia's Democratic primary for governor without mentioning the GOP candidates at all. Additionally, the report left the impression that Abrams was not allowed to attend an event at the governor's mansion in 1991 because she was black even though, in fact, she was allowed into the event after the guest list was checked.
CNN’s Erin Burnett conducted a sacchaine interview with Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf on Monday’s Erin Burnett OutFront, in which she sympathized with the Mayor for being “picked on” by the President. Schaaf made headlines in March when she posted a Tweet warning illegal aliens about an upcoming ICE raid in the Bay Area. To her credit, Burnett framed Schaaf’s actions as such while introducing her; however, she went on permit her to repeatedly twist facts, while offering virtually no pushback in response.
After a trio of CNN political analysts pestered Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders about a controversial Trump tweet on immigration during Monday’s White House press briefing, the speculation about the President’s intent continued on CNN’s Erin Burnett OutFront later that evening. And, of course, the only implications they could think of involved the President being a staunch racist. “And pretty much all of them are pretty racist. In fact, all of them are pretty racist,” declared Burnett.
The media have found themselves inflicted with another case of Trump Derangement Syndrome after President Trump unleashed a series of tweets pertaining to immigration and DACA. During Monday's edition of CNN's Erin Burnett OutFront, host Erin Burnett asked President Trump's former deputy campaign manager if there was "any way to interpret our country as being stolen when you are referring to immigrants coming from the south as anything other than racist."
