It’s always interesting when liberals attack conservatives. However, it’s always fascinating when liberals take on other liberals. That’s been the case for several days with Chuck Todd -- moderator of NBC’s Meet the Press Sunday program -- and Chris Cuomo, anchor of the Cuomo Prime Time weeknight series who recently compared Todd unflatteringly to Jake Tapper, anchor of CNN’s weekday show The Lead.
On Thursday's Cuomo Prime Time, Chris Cuomo obnoxiously compared heartbeat bills that protect unborn babies to the Jim Crow laws that oppressed black Americans for generations as the CNN host moderated a debate between liberal contributor Jennifer Granholm and conservative guest Niger Innis. He also accused Innis of "spreading bulls**t" as the CNN host promoted the discredited myth that federal funding does not bolster Planned Parenthood's abortion activities.
On Wednesday's Cuomo Prime Time, during a discussion of a study finding Democrats who use Twitter are further to the left than average Democrats, CNN host Chris Cuomo admitted that "the media vibes so much off Twitter," tacitly admitting that the far left, or "progressives," have substantial influence over what the dominant media give air to. He even suggested that journalists use sources from Twitter who may not even be who they pretend to be.
In a long-winded puff piece for The Hollywood Reporter, writer Jeremy Barr gushed about blowhard Prime Time host Chris Cuomo and how he was “fighting for his life on CNN.” The piece was filled with a load of gag-inducing puffery, but here’s just a few doses.
The “great debate” on Tuesday’s edition of Cuomo Prime Time focused on Rep. Ilhan Omar’s tweet condemning White House adviser Stephen Miller as a white nationalist. The conversation quickly deflected into a debate about the meaning of the word nationalism, with host Chris Cuomo describing it as a “loaded term” and accusing Miller of having an “apparent affinity” for white supremacists.
For Tuesday’s edition of Prime Time, CNN host Chris Cuomo invited on pompous Toronto Star fact checker Daniel Dale to try to catch President Trump in lies about immigration and border. But while the anti-Trump journalists were trying to pounce on the President, they both shared a whopper of a lie when they falsely claimed Democrats weren’t for open borders. Cuomo went so far as to suggest he’s never heard a Democrat promote that.
On Wednesday's Cuomo Prime Time, host Chris Cuomo cited a clip of Customs and Border commissioner Kevin McAleenan to bolster the CNN's host's claim that the "real problem" on the border is the scarcity of resources to take care of the larger numbers of children and families crossing into the U.S., but Cuomo omitted the part of the speech in which the CBP commissioner stressed the need to reform the laws that are enticing those who are not legitimate asylum seekers to come to the U.S. in the first place because they know it will be difficult to deport them quickly.
“[T]he Special Counsel did not find that any U.S. person or Trump campaign official or associate conspired or knowingly coordinated with the [Russians] in [their] efforts…” That’s what Attorney General William Barr wrote in his letter to Congress summarizing the Mueller report. Yet, despite the facts compiled after two years of investigations, CNN continues to breathlessly push conspiratorial accusations of collusion between President Trump and Russia.
Sparks flew on CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time Monday evening as President Trump’s outside lawyer Rudy Giuliani went toe-to-toe with host Chris Cuomo regarding the President’s vindication and the media’s new obstruction obsession post-Mueller report. In the middle of it, the former New York Mayor demanded Cuomo and CNN apologize for dragging the President down. Cuomo seemed disgusted by the prospect.
In a series of Tuesday tweets, President Trump weighed in on the latest concerns people were having regarding a couple of high profile deadly crashes involving the Boeing 737 MAX 8 and questioned the complexity of modern aircraft. Well, that triggered CNN hosts Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon who claimed the President was a “Luddite” who wanted to bring back primitive modes of transportation.
America had a heavy heart on Wednesday after we all learned that Jeopardy host Alex Trebek was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. But instead just promoting Trebek’s fighting spirit and spreading awareness of a type of cancer that’s really hard to detect, CNN’s Chris Cuomo had to throw in a dash of politics into the mix and veiled references to President Trump. While also promoting CNN’s empty slogan.
CNN’s Chris Cuomo closed the first hour of his show, Cuomo Prime Time, Monday night by urging the GOP to “muscle up” and vote against President Trump’s national emergency declaration. He also complained that “we can’t get 67 percent of the House and Senate to agree about separation of powers.” Maybe Cuomo has amnesia that prevents him from remembering that he himself did not seem to care about separation of powers when Obama was President.
