For the first time since September 10, the White House held a press briefing Wednesday featuring not only Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, but also National Security Adviser John Bolton and neither disappointed as scores of liberal journalists came ready to rumble. Bolton set the tone in an exchange with CBS News White House correspondent Weijia Jiang, who seemed insulted that Bolton wasn’t giving more respect to the Palestinians by not referring to their land as a state. Turns out, Bolton had the facts on his side.
Despite the fact that the latest sexual misconduct allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was so full of holes it looked like Swiss cheese, CBS Evening News actually scoffed at the notion that the accusations against him were part of a smear campaign during their Monday broadcast.
On Wednesday night, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News remained aboard the proverbial liberal media party bus pushing Congress to impeach President Trump and delay or thwart Brett Kavanaugh from reaching the Supreme Court following Tuesday’s bad Trump headlines involving Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort.
On Friday, the network morning shows devoted much of their coverage of President Trump’s visit to Britain on protesters “denouncing and mocking” him. Hosts and correspondents seemed to delight in the president receiving a “not-so-royal welcome” and being taunted by a giant balloon flying over the British capital “depicting Mr. Trump as an angry baby.”
