Morning Joe absolutely unloads on Elizabeth Warren this morning. The proximate cause was the release of her memo on behalf of a corporate client seeking to avoid responsibility for cleaning up a toxic-waste site.  But the broader issue addressed was her lack of authenticity/honesty across the board. John Heilemann says her campaign realizes there's a "whiff of fraudulence" about her, and Steve Schmidt twice warns Democrats against nominating her.

The liberal media is not known for its deep and abiding respect for the US military. Yet in the opening segment alone of today's Morning Joe, there were no fewer than nine instances of members of the panel referring to Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman as a "hero" or Purple Heart recipient. For good measure, Mike Barnicle melodramatically described him as "wearing the cloth of our country." What accounts for such a sudden onset of hero worship? The answer's obvious: since the Democrats and MSM see Vindman as a key impeachment witness against President Trump, it suits their political purposes to celebrate his status, lending credence to his testimony.

Before Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland gave testimony before the House Intel Committee 's Wednesday impeachment hearing, those occupying the desk on MSNBC's pre-game show could hardly contain their excitement. They eagerly awaited the downfall of the Trump Administration and the schadenfreude that would inevitably come with seeing "Trumpists" react to Sondland's testimony.

Not surprisingly, the panel on Friday’s edition of Real Time weighed in on the impeachment inquiry that has sucked up all of the oxygen on Capitol Hill. Host Bill Maher suggested that Republicans’ behavior throughout the impeachment inquiry indicates that they “don’t believe in democracy anymore.” In addition, the panel took aim at Fox News; slamming the primetime hosts as “a**-lickers” and accusing the network of spinning out “a totally different version of reality.”

Just hours after MSNBC’s John Heilemann compared the idea of holding migrant children and their families in detention centers as they await adjudication of their asylum claims to “concentration camps,” primetime host Rachel Maddow had equally hyperbolic analysis. According to Maddow, the migrant detention centers are “kind of like Guantanamo.”

Not surprisingly, the far-left panel on Wednesday’s Deadline: White House did not react favorably to the Trump administration’s proposal to detain migrant families seeking asylum for longer than 20 days. Fill-in host John Heilemann suggested that President Trump wants to hold migrant children and their families “in detention centers indefinitely,” an idea which he argued “fit the textbook definition of what a concentration camp is.”

President Trump has come out in opposition to some gun control measures, mainly additional background checks, that he had previously expressed some interest in and Tuesday's Deadline on MSNBC was not at all happy about it. Expressing his contempt for Trump, guest host John Heilemann led off the segment declaring that the only things certain in life are, "There's death and taxes and capitulation on gun control."

Accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's body was barely cold after a reported suicide in a federal prison when MSNBC personnel began chiming in with conspiracy theories pointing fingers at the Trump administration and the Russians.

This could be the worst bit of campaign advice ever. On Friay's Morning Joe, Donny Deutsch proposed that, as their 2020 strategy, Democrats should "shame" swing voters into abandoning President Trump.  Deutsch said Democrats need to tell swing voters that they can't support Trump just because they selectively like some aspects of his policies, like the tax cuts. They must be told that they get the "whole package," including the "blood" and the "racism."

The past couple of weeks have brought the latest example of liberal news outfits like CNN and MSNBC suddenly taking notice of a recurring problem in immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump's administration which also happened during past administrations, including that of Barack Obama. A number of shows pounced on the story of natural-born American citizen, Francisco Galicia, who was detained by CBP and handed over to ICE in a process that took over three weeks because of suspicions that he was an illegal immigrant, in spite of him having his birth certificate on him, as a number of news reports suggested that his detention was racially motivated, with much of the coverage omitting aspects of the story which help explain why the detention happened in the first place.

On Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski claims Elizabeth Warren won the Democrat debate by rejecting stereotypes about what women should avoid, and instead being "aggressive" and "pissed off" and living her message. If Democrats were smart, they would have one, cardinal criterion when it comes to picking their presidential candidate: who has the best shot at defeating President Trump. But Mika Brzezinski seems more interested in choosing a champion for her brand of in-your-face feminism. And thus it was on today's Morning Joe that Mika declared Elizabeth Warren the big winner of last night's debate because "she was aggressive, she was pissed off."

Donald Trump has been President for almost two and a half years. If there is one thing that Democrats and their allies in the media still cannot seem to wrap their heads around, it is why he won in the first place. Liberals in the media have just an utter resentment for Americans in the middle of the country who led President Trump’s winning coalition.
