On Wednesday's MSNBC Live, host Stephanie Ruhle and correspondent Chris Jansing gushed over a group of liberal women "mama bears" who became political activists in Georgia as the two MSNBC journalists did not bother to label them as liberals or Democrats.
On Sunday’s Meet the Press, moderator Chuck Todd offered a brief report on the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showing President Trump’s approval rating remaining virtually unchanged despite a week of news focused on the conviction of Paul Manafort and guilty pleas from Michael Cohen. However, Todd revealed that the network was so skeptical of the results that it actually conducted a second survey to verify the numbers.
On Tuesday's MSNBC Live, fill-in host Chris Jansing displayed the latest example of liberal journalists picking up on misleading polling on how much Americans support abortion, as she spoke with a group of pro-life activists who are lobbying Missouri Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill to vote to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court.
During Monday’s edition of MSNBC Live With Craig Melvin, the panel attempted to smear President Trump as a racist by pointing to his recent tweet about Lebron James and his repeated description of Congresswoman Maxine Waters as a “low IQ individual.”
Following Thursday’s morning session of senior FBI official Peter Strzok testifying before Congress about anti-Trump text messages he sent during the 2016 campaign, MSNBC anchor Chris Jansing and her panel of paid NBC News analysts were unified in their condemnation of House Republicans and praise for Strzok. GOP members were compared to Joseph McCarthy while Strzok was laughably hailed for his supposed “integrity.”
After the Associated Press published an article that misleadingly gave the impression that the U.S. military may be kicking out large numbers of non-citizens, several MSNBC hosts freaked out over the hyped news, using words like "startling," "shocking," and "yet another low." MSNBC contributor and Washington Post deputy editorial page editor Ruth Marcus even suggested that "you have to hate immigrants" to make such a move.
The liberal media love to pretend they don’t play favorites between the parties. But that’s really hard to defend when you’re praising a liberal organization called Swing Left that connects Democrats with swing districts they can volunteer in. That was exactly what happened during Thursday’s MTP Daily on MSNBC when Chris Jansing filled in for host Chuck Todd.
On Tuesday, MSNBC hosts and correspondents displayed their religious intolerance by attacking the faith of potential Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. During one hour after another, Barrett’s membership in a faith group was ridiculed and listed as one of her “potential weaknesses” in a Senate confirmation fight.
Filling in for Craig Melvin during MSNBC’s 1:00 p.m. ET hour on Monday, anchor Chris Jansing recounted a recent exchange she had with a Democratic activist in California, who apparently became “literally physically ill” upon hearing the news that Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy was retiring and President Trump would be nominating a replacement.
Even before President Trump’s announcement on Tuesday that the U.S. would be backing out of the Iran nuclear deal, the press had begun mounting an anxious defense of the agreeent. It’s no secret that the Obama-era treaty has been a foreign policy favorite among many in the media, and the same was true back when it was first negotiated in 2015.
On Thursday's MSNBC Live, near the end of her show, host Katy Tur delivered a commentary touting the liberal spin on the issue of police shootings and race as she complained about White House unwillingness to intervene in the Stephon Clark shooting case. But, even though her colleague Chris Jansing actually acknowledged the day before that twice as many whites as blacks have so far been killed by police this year, Tur only cited black shooting victims as if it were almost exclusively blacks who are killed.
Throughout the day on Tuesday, MSNBC anchors and pundits were in full panic mode over the news that the Commerce Department was planning to add a question about citizenship status to the 2020 census. Hour after hour, the move was blasted as “racist,” “illegal,” and even predicted to cause a public health crisis. From 9:00 a.m. ET to 3:00 p.m. ET, the liberal cable channel’s coverage of the topic was 90% negative.
