In a serious and touching ceremony at the White House on Thursday, President Trump officially declared the opioid crisis a public health emergency. But following the move, many craven Democrats came out and claimed he wasn’t doing enough. And during their evening broadcasts, ABC and CBS held water for those partisan claims as they slung mud at the President. NBC, on the other hand, surprisingly touted the President’s actions.

During Wednesday’s CBS Evening News, the network ran back-to-back reports lionizing Arizona Republican Senator Jeff Flake for announcing his retirement while he denounced his party’s president. In a block of time lasting four minutes and 28 seconds, CBS bemoaned how Flake’s Republican colleagues didn’t join him in ripping President Trump and covering-up just how vastly unpopular Flake was in his home state.

The longtime critic of President Trump, Arizona Senator Jeff Flake announced his retirement on the Senate Floor Tuesday in a spectacle targeting the President and designed to get the media all hot and bothered. After he called Trump "reckless, outrageous and undignified” all of the Big Three Networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) gleefully led their evening newscasts with the GOP infighting as they fawned over Flake for ‘speaking truth to power.’

Monday was supposed to be the sentencing hearing for Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, but his lawyer motioned to dismiss the case and asserted that President Trump’s critical comments during the 2016 election swayed the military court. Both CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News seemed to buy into the claims as they lamented how the admitted deserter would have to wait until Wednesday to learn his fate. They also omitted his praise for his Taliban captors.

In a military courtroom in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina on Monday, Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl pleaded guilty to charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy and faces up to life in prison. Back in 2014, President Obama traded five dangerous terrorists to get Bergdahl back, and in a flawed political calculation, championed him as a 'hero.' Despite the massive blowback that followed the ill-advised move, the Big Three Networks omitted that from their Monday evening reports.

During special coverage of President Trump’s Friday speech announcing his decision to decertify the Iran nuclear deal, the broadcast networks all agreed that the American commander-in-chief was being “hawkish” and “fierce” against the “very moderate” Iranian regime, even declaring that the decision “has isolated the United States.”

On Thursday, President Trump unveiled an executive order designed to bring new freedom to the health insurance market by allowing people to form associations in order to buy insurance across state lines. But the Big Three networks weren’t going to lie down and let people have affordable insurance. Instead, they would lie and mislead about what the order actually did and about how it would affect people’s insurance.

On Wednesday, ABC and CBS were absolutely giddy over an NBC report that asserted President Trump wanted to inflate the U.S. nuclear arsenal “ten-fold” to 1960s levels. The report added fuel to the liberal claims that Trump was a madman looking to trigger an all-out nuclear war. But as they were hyping NBC’s reporting on Trump, they turned a blind eye to NBC’s dubious coverage of alleged sexual predator Harvey Weinstein.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell handed President Trump a victory on Tuesday after he sent a memo to all 32 teams directing them to have their players stand during the playing of the National Anthem. When players across the league took a knee during the National Anthem to protest the President, the liberal media went absolutely gaga. The networks dedicated 92 minutes of coverage over two days to the story. But following the NFL’s concession, all of them downplayed it.

With September’s news coverage now in the record books, the latest Media Research Center analysis finds TV’s hostility to the Trump presidency continues unabated. According to our analysts, the President received 92% bad press, vs. just 8% good press on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening news shows last month.

In the wake of the Las Vegas mass shooting a few days ago, liberals all across the country and in the media had begun to push for greater gun control. On Wednesday, Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein announced a bill to ban the so-called “bump-stocks” that allowed the shooter to use his semi-automatic rifle as one that was fully automatic. And in looking back at her past attempts at gun control, CBS Evening News whined about her previous assault weapons ban getting sunk in Congress.

Several hours after the horrific mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, law enforcement officials were still searching for what motivated the shooter who killed 59 and wounded 527 people. And despite President Trump calling the shooting “pure evil” on Monday, both ABC and CBS were upset that he had yet to label the massacre as terrorism.
