On CNN's New Day, Alisyn Camerota frets that Bernie Sanders, he who preaches "revolution," might be too "nuanced" to take on President Trump. On MSNBC, Joe Scarborough suggests that Elizabeth Sanders drop out in order to "consolidate efforts" against Sanders. This despite Warren being in Sanders's far-left lane, so that if she dropped out, surely many of her supporters would "consolidate" around Sanders!
The morning after the Democratic primary debate in Las Vegas Wednesday night, CNN host Alisyn Camerota was very worried Democrats were being too harsh on each other. In particular, she was bothered by the candidates comparing Michael Bloomberg to President Trump.
On the morning after President Donald Trump delivered his 2020 State of the Union address, there was further evidence of how heavily skewed toward the left that CNN has become as New Day did not feature a single pro-Trump guest to react to the speech. But the four-hour special edition of the flagship morning show did make time for three Democratic members of Congress and one liberal Republican CNN contributor to react negatively to the President's words.
Friday morning on CNN’s New Day, co-anchors John Berman and Alisyn Camerota spent at least two segments attacking Republicans as high school children that weren't taking the Senate impeachment trial "seriously." The co-hosts even hyped how the Senators could be thrown “in the slammer” over their behavior.
CNN commentator Joe Lockhart spouted the conspiracy theory that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo possibly could have allowed "a Benghazi" against Marie Yovanovitch, who at the time was the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine.
After CNN rolls a clip of Dem Rep. Jackie Speier saying the airliner shoot-down is "yet another example of collateral damage from the actions that have been taken by in a provocative way by the President of the United States," Alisyn Camerota expresses support for Speier's statement, saying, I think it’s fair to say this would not have happened if there were not tensions between the US and Iran."
The media has revealed just how far they will go in distrusting this administration, siding with foreign governments and terrorists over our own military. Just as ABC News’ journalists did Wednesday evening, CNN journalists on Thursday morning suggested they trusted their own reporting more than they did U.S. military intelligence, by expressing skepticism that Iran intended to kill Americans with their missile strikes.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has a wide berth to delay her supposedly "urgent" impeachment articles for weeks or even months, knowing the press will back her. Exhibit A is CNN's Alisyn Camerota. The New Day co-host made an impassioned defense this morning of Pelosi's decision to stall the delivery to the Senate of the articles of impeachment. After Camerota made her initial pitch for Pelosi's position, guest host John Avlon and Washington Post reporter Seung Min Kim pushed back, saying Pelosi's position wasn't tenable and that she'd have to deliver the articles in fairly short order.
It's one of the oldest moves in the liberal media's playbook: trying to pass off liberal Democrat candidates as "moderates." CNN played the game this morning . . . but an interesting Democrat actually reminded viewers of the truth: that the so-called "moderates" are actually to the left of where Barack Obama was when he first ran for president.
CNN's Jeffrety Toobin refuses to believe the results of CNN's own poll, showing a rather dramatic drop in Democrat support for impeachment: from 90% down to 77%. Here was poor Jeffrey, in the depths of denial: "I don’t believe that poll for one second, the 90 to 77%. I don’t believe it. It makes no sense that that number would change like that . . . David, that poll is wrong. Just because I said so, okay?"
In the past week, in the aftermath of the shooting attack that killed three U.S. Navy sailors on a military base in Pensacola, Florida, Fox News Channel's Fox & Friends show has given substantial attention to the problem of most troops not being allowed to carry weapons on base. In several segments this week, the show highlighted the views of several Navy troops who are speaking out on the issue.
On Thursday, hosts on MSNBC and CNN were thrilled by Barack Obama’s former Attorney General Eric Holder – who famously politicized the Justice Department – penning a profoundly hypocritical Washington Post op/ed in which he accused current Attorney General William Barr of being “plainly ideological” and “nakedly partisan.”
