All three networks on Monday hailed the “surging,” “exciting” Pete Buttigieg’s “major moment” in Iowa polls. But they avoided a racial blunder by the 2020 Democratic candidate, as well as the fact that his polling with African Americans in the critical primary state of South Carolina is at an astonishing 0 percent. The Buttigieg campaign attempted to tout the Mayor’s Douglass Plan (as in Frederick Douglass) and released photos of people one would assume are supporters. Except, as Ryan Grim, DC bureau chief of The Intercept discovered, they weren't.
MSNBC and Fox on Monday pushed the idea that Mayor Pete Buttigieg is a moderate. However, the facts simply don’t back this up when it comes to the 2020 presidential candidate. In fact, Fox’s Harris Faulkner even lumped in the radically pro-gun control Michael Bloomberg as another “moderate,” saying: “After months of watching the Democratic Party move farther to the left, moderates are now looking to regain control of the 2020 race. But can two new candidates and Pete Buttigieg's recent rise change anything?”
Just like NBC did the night before, ABC continued conjecturing about President Trump’s health Tuesday morning, based off of an undisclosed visit to Walter Reed hospital over the weekend. Even though the White House doctor shut down rumors that Trump had a heart attack, the network dismissed that information to speculate that the White House was actually lying about Trump’s health.
MSNBC has tabbed a Bernie booster (Rachel Maddow) and Joe Biden fan (Andrea Mitchell) to be the lead moderators for Wednesday’s Democratic debate, so it’s a good bet the questions will be skewed from the left. It won't be the first time: In June, MSNBC hosted a two-night debate event where 69 percent of the questions to the very liberal field of candidates were from the left.
It seems anyone to the right of Karl Marx is considered a “moderate” in today’s Democrat party. On ABC's The View Monday, the hosts were discussing a new Iowa poll out this weekend that showed a significant bump for South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg in the 2020 race. Co-host Joy Behar claimed he was rising in the polls because he was a “moderate” Democrat, who was “fresh, new and gay” but also in a “traditional” same-sex marriage. What?
One of the maddening acts of so-called "fact checking" is the arrogant attempt to predict future outcomes at election time. It should seem obvious this is beyond the territory of "facts." Now PolitiFact has slapped a "True" label on Elizabeth Warren's cost estimates for her socialist "Medicare for All" plan....even as it appends an "If true" disclaimer to it.
In a blatant attempt to exploit the Santa Clarita school shooting the very next day, Friday’s NBC Nightly News conveniently queued up their ‘What Matters’ segment to push the Democratic Party’s desire to do away with gun rights in America. While the segment dealt with what mattered to Democratic voters it didn’t deal with the facts that mattered.
Telemundo recently aired an exclusive interview with former HUD Secretary Julián Castro, which inadvertently exposed the failure of the six-years-and-running effort to make Castro into a thing. The interview also revealed the role of our domestic Spanish-language media in that failure.
Avengers: Endgame actor Mark Ruffalo is a major Bernie Bro. When he’s not starring in his fourth Marvel comic adaptation of the year, you can find the Hollywood leftie Hulking out over the socialist presidential candidate on Twitter and going green (in more ways than one) over the Vermont senator’s climate change initiatives.
Liberal megadonor and potential 2020 candidate Michael Bloomberg illustrated why the ongoing bellyache over money in politics by the liberal media reeks of hypocrisy. The billionaire pledged to initiate a $100 million digital campaign “designed to attack and define President Trump in the top battleground states seen as likely to decide the 2020 election,” The New York Times reported Nov. 15.
Bloomberg News has relatively ignored reporting on their owner. Could that be because of a self-imposed gag rule on Bloomberg reporters? The New York Times reported a Nov. 14 story detailing liberal billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s history of negative statements about women. The Times said that “the comments revealed a cruder side of Mr. Bloomberg, now 77 and a potential presidential candidate.”
Well, this comes as no big surprise. Only four episodes into the new season of NBC’s Will & Grace and the political barbs have already begun again, complete with the tired, cliché accusations that Trump supporters are hate-filled, neo-Nazis. This time, the show even took a swipe at all of America, claiming it loves "racist jokes."
