Zuckerberg Supports Liberal-Funded Organization Under Guise of Election Assistance

With the results of the 2020 election still being contested in several states, the need to uphold election integrity is incredibly important. With few other options, voting jurisdictions found help from organizations, including to one that censorious Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg donated $350 million.

Counties all across the nation found themselves underfunded and unprepared for what would be a contentious and drawn-out election. With few options for funding, “2,500 jurisdictions'' turned to grants from the Center for Tech and Civic Life (the Center), according to a recent story from NPR. The Center has been overwhelmingly funded by Big Tech and leftist organizations.

NPR described the Center as a “previously small Chicago-based nonprofit that quickly amassed hundreds of millions of dollars in donations to help local election offices — most notably, $350 million from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan.”

Chester County, Pennsylvania, for example, received “$2.5 million for the election, which is more than the county’s 2020 budget for voting services,” according to NPR.

“With a tight budget and little help from the federal government, Chester County applied for an election grant from the Center for Tech and Civic Life, a previously small Chicago-based nonprofit that quickly amassed hundreds of millions of dollars in donations to help local election offices — most notably, $350 million from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan,” NPR reported.

The county reportedly used the money to pay for “14 drop boxes for ballots, pay staff to watch those sites and purchase body cameras that recorded employees collecting ballots from the drop boxes.”

The Center’s Key Funders and Partners page is like the who’s who of leftist organizations. The Center’s list of funders and partners includes Big Tech liberal platforms Facebook and Google and multiple liberal nonprofits. Rock the Vote, for example, listed “voter ID laws” as a method of “voter suppression.” The Knight Foundation is a “left-leaning private foundation that sets a primary emphasis on funding media-related projects,” according to Influence Watch. Democracy Fund was founded by liberal Ebay founder Pierre Omidyar, and “contributes to center-left and left-wing media organizations,” according to Influence Watch. The Rockefeller Brothers Fund has an entire program dedicated to climate change called “sustainable development” that suggests that “[h]uman activity is causing global warming.”

The Center is also funded by Democracy Works, which “is a member of Bridge Alliance, a left-leaning social welfare coalition that supports numerous left-of-center election reform policies and is partnered with the left-of-center PAC Unite America,” according to Influence Watch.

During this election cycle, Facebook constantly added new rules for election posts, froze political ads, and censored hashtags like #sharpiegate and #stopthesteal. The platform’s Vice President of Integrity, Guy Rosen, bragged about the fact that Facebook removed 180 million election posts in a Nov. 19 call with reporters.

Conservatives are under attack: Contact Facebook headquarters at 1-650-308-7300 and demand that Big Tech be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency, clarity on “hate speech” and equal footing for conservatives.
