CNN's John Avlon joined At This Hour host Kate Bolduan on Thursday to condemn the selection of Vice President Pence to lead the federal government's response to the coronavirus. But, what was an attack on Pence morphed into an attack that implied that any social conservative or religious person would be unqualified to lead a public health task force in a time of crisis.
Another week, another episode of liberal lectures from the sexually graphic Freeform teen drama The Bold Type. Thursday’s episode, “To Peg or Not to Peg,” was all about how the liberal boogeyman known as “the patriarchy” is responsible for everything, from women not wanting to discuss their private parts with each other to a man not feeling comfortable dating a woman who is more dominant to Kat (Aisha Dee) having some hesitation when a man asks her to dominate him via “pegging.”
The Freeform show Everything's Gonna Be Okay is about a twenty-something gay man named Nicholas who becomes legal guardian to his two teenaged half-sisters after their father dies. One of the sisters, 17-year-old Matilda, happens to be on the autism spectrum. Like the Netflix show Atypical, Everything's Gonna Be Okay recognizes the fact that, with understanding and awareness from others, an autistic individual is capable of social and academic success.
The broadcast networks weren’t really interested when ex-Democratic Mayor of Baltimore Catherine Pugh was raided by the FBI and the IRS in April of last year amid charges of corruption, nor when she was forced to resign just a few days later. So, it’s not surprising that ABC, CBS, and NBC completely ignored her pleading guilty and sentenced to three years in prison on Thursday.
When viewers of Fox's Deputy found out on the February 13 episode that Deputy Brianna Bishop (Bex Taylor-Klaus) claimed to be more than one gender, it was only a matter of time before the show tried to insert the issue into the series plotline again. This time it's so that Sheriff Bill Hollister (Stephen Dorf) can tell her to "live your truth."
On MTP Daily, host Chuck Todd twice suggests that President Trump, given his supposed undermining of trust in government institutions, should "reap what he sows" regarding public distrust over coronavirus.
The New York Times used the coronavirus story as a carrier for the same Trump-bashing that infects the paper like the common cold. Thursday’s edition led with the banner headline, “Trump Taps Pence To Lead As Virus Spreads.” Underneath was “news analysis” by Annie Karni, Michael Crowley, and Maggie Haberman, “Facing Potential Test in Public Trust, Too.” They led with Trump’s silly “Sharpie” moment during Hurricane Dorian, then quickly raised the stakes: "For years, experts have warned that Mr. Trump has been squandering the credibility he could need in a moment of national emergency, like a terrorist attack or a public health crisis."
For the second evening in a row on Thursday, ABC’s World News Tonight (and this time NBC Nightly News) seemed intent on whipping the public into a state of fear with suggestions the Trump administration wasn’t responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19) threat adequately. NBC News even tried to shake public coincidence in Vice President Mike Pence’s leadership of the COVID-19 task force assigned to deal with the threat.
Worried about the rise of socialism? The Big Tech oligarchs over at Twitter don’t appear to be. Despite a Twitter rule which states that the platform will censor accounts for using “hateful symbol[s],” a Twitter spokesperson defended the use of the communist hammer and sickle -- a symbol that Hillsdale College professor Dr. Charles N. Steele said is associated with the deaths of millions -- on the platform.
Continuing to sell her pompously titled book, The Ones We’ve Been Waiting For, millennial Time magazine journalist Charlotte Alter appeared on Wednesday’s CBS Late Show, aired early Thursday morning, to gush over members of the left-wing millennial resistance to President Trump. She even compared them to wizard heroes in the Harry Potter book and movie series.
The "fact checkers" at the Associated Press almost religiously stick to checking the claims of Donald Trump. But they drew widespread attention on Thursday for checking Joe Biden and Michael Bloomberg on the coronavirus.Trump has not engaged in "reckless cuts" to the Centers for Disease Control.
Hollywood knows how to come up with ticket-selling doomsday scenarios and their imagined outcome of the coronavirus is no less devastating than the events of Independence Day.
The View continued showcasing its embarrassing fanfare for presidential candidate, Joe Biden, on Thursday’s show. All the hosts, including Meghan McCain, fawned over Biden’s performance during last night’s CNN town hall, claiming that his “empathy” would restore the “soul” of America. The liberal hosts also encouraged evangelical voters to flock to Biden, versus Trump, who was the “antithesis” to Christianity.
During an otherwise softball interview with former Vice President Joe Biden aired on Thursday, NBC’s Today show co-host Craig Melvin started off by pressing the 2020 Democratic candidate on the support for socialist Senator Bernie Sanders, who “has been able to convince so many people, especially so many young people, that he’s their guy.”
The left is so deranged, so unhinged and so obsessed with hating President Trump, that they are actually making him the face of coronavirus in order to spread fear. New York Times columnist Gail Collins wrote “If you’re feeling awful, you know who to blame.” Wow and there it is. If the left were able to write their own account of Exodus’s “Ten Plagues,” Trump would be one of them.
