As New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio announced overnight he was joining the crowded Democrat 2020 field, the hosts of The View were decidedly split on their opinion of De Blasio. Announcing the topic, co-host Whoopi Goldberg couldn’t stop laughing at the apparent absurdity of the unpopular De Blasio running for President, while her liberal co-hosts earnestly tried to make the case that he his radical policies had been good for New York.

On Wednesday's MTP Daily, host Chuck Todd cited two polls suggesting the public was mostly supportive of abortion. By contrast, a couple of days earlier when Steve Kornacki was fill in host for the same show, he was more accurate in admitting that polling can also be found that suggests most Americans oppose abortion.

For the media, particularly its rabid feminist cohort, Alabama’s near-total abortion ban on May 15 is a major step towards the death of democracy. In the eyes of rabid New York Times Feminist columnists like Jill Filipovic, forcing a woman to complete their pregnancy is an painful imposition, one that should require equal payment on the part of men: that is, having “a half inch cut off from your penis with every [pregnancy.]”

In a couple of reports that aired on Tuesday, CNN repeated claims that a woman who was shot and killed by a Texas police officer was pregnant, but, unlike the three broadcast networks, CNN never got around to informing viewers that an autopsy revealed that the woman was lying to the police officer about being pregnant as she resisted arrest.

The White House has announced a new system that gives Americans the power to call out foul play by tech companies. As of May 15 it read, “SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS should advance FREEDOM OF SPEECH.” “Too many Americans have seen their accounts suspended, banned, or fraudulently reported for unclear ‘violations’ of user policies,” it continued before delivering a bipartisan message that freedom of speech is a right held by all Americans. “No matter your views, if you suspect political bias caused such an action to be taken against you, share your story with President Trump.”

We've been told in recent years that to be critical of the news is to be critical of democracy itself. So it was a bit shocking that in the newspaper that screeches on each front page that "Democracy dies in darkness" ran its own columnist asking "Do we owe it to society — and ourselves — to tune out the news?"

The media’s meltdown over Alabama’s abortion ban continued into late night comedy Wednesday. In his opening monologue, Late Night host Seth Meyers’ female writers performed a groan-worthy comedic sketch that had them being controlled like puppets by men, all the while giving melodramatic, pro-abortion rants.

Good Morning America scored the exclusive scoop of the first interview with New York Mayor Bill de Blasio as he became the 23rd Democrat to run for president in 2020. However, former Democratic operative turned host George Stephanopoulos avoided any mention of de Blasio’s hard-left stances on abortion, gun control or his total embrace of the Green New Deal. This as even the Mayor himself referenced his very liberal opinions.

The USS Abraham Lincoln was speeding to the Persian Gulf, U.S. military bases in the Middle East were on high alert, then on Wednesday nonemergency staff for the U.S. Embassy in Iraq were ordered to leave because the U.S. had intelligence of an “imminent” Iranian-backed attack. But the liberal media, which often carries water for the regime, was skeptical. ABC News suggested it was “faulty” intel akin to the Iraq War. NBC News claimed it’s a “real test” of President Trump’s credibility.

Some in the liberal media regularly blame President Trump when anything bad happens anywhere across the country, and one of the most ardent supporters of that philosophy is MSNBC's Morning Joe co-host and Trump flip-flopper Joe Scarborough. Nevertheless, he accused the Republican official in the White House on Wednesday of “aggressively trying to cover up any evidence” that the Russians have tried to “subvert American democracy.”

Lesbian and ESPN The Magazine Body issue model Megan Rapinoe is taking the SJW baton from Colin Kaepernick and giving President Donald Trump an ongoing middle finger. A pro soccer star and member of the U.S. National Team, Rapinoe tells Yahoo Sports's Henry Bushnell her play will serve as an “F you” to the Trump administration.

The state of Alabama enacted the most pro-life law in the country on Wednesday and the liberal media were outraged at the thought of protecting unborn life. Each of the three broadcast networks kicked off their evening news programs by fretting over it, with NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt decrying how “46 years after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled abortion a constitutional right, the state of Alabama has just openly defied that landmark decision.”

On Tuesday's Andrea Mitchell Reports on MSNBC, host Andrea Mitchell fretted that President Trump could lead the country into a war with Iran and was assisted with that assessment thanks to New York Times White House correspondent Peter Baker and former CIA Deputy Director John McLaughlin.

New York Times Jerusalem bureau chief David Halbfinger was shocked, shocked by pro-Israel bias from the U.S. ambassador to Israel, David Friedman in “Israel is on the Side of God,’ Declares U.S. Ambassador.” The text box to Wednesday’s story: “Many are left slack-jawed by a brazen show of bias.” Speaking of being left slack-jawed by bias...has Halbfinger read his own material lately? As Hamas rockets rain down on Israeli civilians in May, Halbfinger devoted his reporting to shielding Hamas from criticism and excusing their violence as “impatience” with Israel.

Chris Matthews on Tuesday seemed to compare Joe Biden to fictional movie boxer Rocky Balboa fighting against Apollo Creed. (Donald Trump in this comparison.) Appearing on Deadline: White House, the Hardball host enthused, “On Saturday, coming up the 18th, [Biden is]  going to the Rocky steps at the Philadelphia art museum, the essential blue collar guy from south Philly. Italian Stallion, the one that never got his shot, finally gets his shot at the title against Apollo Creed.”
