At least 16 articles claimed or suggested women would be jailed for having abortions, even though the laws’ text is available for all to read, and specifies women will not face persecution.
In the May 16 finale of For the People, "A Choice Between Two Things," the public defenders’ office and prosecutors take on voter intimidation perpetrated by “a pro-business advocacy group.”
As the saying goes, “all politics is local.” That sentiment seemed to seep into CBS News’s Thursday reports on New York Mayor Bill de Blasio throwing his hat into the 2020 race. In both flagship morning and evening newscasts, anchors and reporters alike mocked the Democratic candidate. During CBS This Morning, co-host John Dickerson quipped: “Bill de Blasio is the answer to what question that isn’t being [asked]?”
CNN claims to be "Facts First," but showboat White House correspondent Jim Acosta mangled President Trump's statement on asylum claims on Thursday. During the speech, Acosta tweeted: "Trump in Rose Garden speech paints asylum seekers with broad brush accusing them of misleading immigration authorities at border: 'These are frivolous claims.'" That's not accurate.
CBS All-Access has officially turned The Twilight Zone from an iconic morality series into just another Hollywood vehicle for virtue signaling and social justice pandering. The reboot whined about toxic masculinity, warned about cops killing black people, and mocked Trump through a kid president. With this latest episode on illegal immigration, the once original show might as well be an MSNBC segment.
The lead editorial in Thursday’s New York Times, “How to Help Protect Abortion Rights,” crossed over from laying out a pro-choice stand and into full-blown pro-abortion, Planned Parenthood-promoting activism. But don’t despair, the Times is there to help women repressed in those troglodyte states with a handy checklist of abortion-rights, er, “reproductive-rights advocates” about groups offering assistance.The editorial page doesn’t think much of pro-lifers who exercise their right to protest abortion clinics. The solution: Become a Planned Parenthood volunteer!
A NewsBusters study out Thursday afternoon showed that the broadcast networks loved slapping the “extreme” label on Alabama’s pro-life law, and the same for the heartbeat bills being enacted around the country, while completely ignoring New York’s extreme abortion protections. Well, NBC Nightly News broke the drought later that evening by completely embracing New York’s barbarism.
Opening Wednesday's CNN Tonight, the horribly biased Don Lemon pondered: “Why this President loves to surround himself with strong men, with dictators?” Naturally, Lemon proceeded to criticize Trump for meeting with dictators, apparently forgetting that President Obama attended a baseball game with Cuban dictator Raul Castro while administration officials had numerous meetings with Iranians. Lemon went further by saying that President Trump wants to “follow their lead” by acting like a king.
The final episode of season three of CBS All Access’s streaming show The Good Fight aired May 16. It’s a given that the show is anti-Trump. The writers portray President Trump and his administration in the worst possible ways on a regular basis. But this episode, titled “The One About the End of the World,” includes an odd scene, even for this show.

When lefties get upset, accusation of, or allusions to, racism can start flying. The left is very upset about states passing laws restricting abortion. On cue, Daily Beast writer Barrett Holmes Pitner composed a piece claiming that Alabama’s recent pro-life legislation is borrowed from old pro-slavery America and Jim Crow. The point, ladies, is that the South’s gonna do it again, and this time they’re gonna put “‘y’all back” in chains (hat tip Joe Biden).
On Thursday, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell and other conservative leaders released the following joint letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. They described the “alarming rise of anti-Semitism and anti-Semitic rhetoric in public discourse, especially online” and called for clarification on social media rules regarding hate speech policies.
Network anchors and reporters are currently freaking out over Georgia, Alabama and Missouri passing laws designed to protect the rights of the unborn, having already devoted almost an hour (59 minutes, 38 seconds) of coverage (May 7-16) to the these new laws. But when New York passed a radical law legalizing late term abortions back in January the networks didn’t care at all - spending zero seconds on the bill signed into law by liberal New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
As New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio announced overnight he was joining the crowded Democrat 2020 field, the hosts of The View were decidedly split on their opinion of De Blasio. Announcing the topic, co-host Whoopi Goldberg couldn’t stop laughing at the apparent absurdity of the unpopular De Blasio running for President, while her liberal co-hosts earnestly tried to make the case that he his radical policies had been good for New York.
