On her 9:00 a.m. ET hour show on Thursday, MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle highlighted a recent New York Times article about a study finding that, despite facing economic challenges, southerners in the U.S. still believe strongly in the American dream of lifting oneself out of poverty without major government intervention. The article fretted that such attitudes “could complicate Democratic efforts to frame the 2020 presidential election as a referendum on a broken economic system.”

Calling Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson a "house negro," The Shadow League sports blogger Carron J. Phillips is criticizing older African-American luminaries for supporting President Donald Trump and disagreeing with the Democrats' radical politics.

On Thursday's New Day show, CNN hosts not only again misled viewers by conflating legal asylum seekers with illegal immigrants who seek asylum after getting caught, but also talked up the possibility of the public having a negative reaction President Donald Trump's plans to round up illegals, while they also suggested the President is not arresting enough of the more serious criminals.

Jesse Pournaras is a pro-abortion doula (or birth companion) who takes “my body, my choice” to the extreme. Writing in Bustle on July 10, Pournaras objects to doctors and nurses telling her clients in the delivery room, “Your baby is our first priority — your plans come second. We will do whatever it takes to get this baby born healthy.”

If you are a Democrat candidate for an important office, you really have to mess up bad for CNN's Inside Politics to declare your candidacy a "disaster." Such was the case on Thursday when host John King brought up how declared Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate from Kentucky running against Mitch McConnell flip-flopped on whether she would have supported the nomination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

With her outburst on Thursday, Nicolle Wallace has cemented her position as MSNBC's most virulent Trump hater. The former McCain campaign aide literally makes Rachel Maddow look, in comparison, like the voice of sweet reason. On her MSNBC show this afternoon, an enraged Wallace, after throwing her notes in the air in anger, demanded to know, regarding President Trump's immigration policies: "Where are the Democrats? Why aren't we marching on these [detention] facilities?"

On Thursday's MSNBC Live host Ali Velshi was joined by NBC reporter Ben Collins and Syracuse Professor Jennifer Grygiel to talk about the social media summit President Trump had at the White House. The trio said that not only do conservatives have nothing to complain about when it comes to social media bias, but that the particular attendees had benefited from social media, and that the meeting had ulterior motives.

Overnight, the rogue Iranian regime had their Revolutionary Guard spark another international incident by assailing a British oil tanker. It was the latest in a series of attacks by Iran, which included the bombing of several other oil tankers, but ABC News didn’t think it was important enough to tell their millions of viewers about during their flagship morning and evening newscasts on Thursday.

Washington Post media blogger Erik Wemple, who writes many blogs inveighing against his nemesis Tucker Carlson and Fox News, turned around and questioned CNN on Thursday. He asked "Why is CNN making things easier for Democrats?" This sounds like a daily question, but he's referring to the debates on July 30 and 31. CNN has announced its rules for the candidates, and Wemple was vexed by "There will be no show of hands or one-word, down-the-line questions."

Comedian Dave Chappelle is doing a limited run of stand-up shows on Broadway, and a review of his opening night performance made the front of the New York Times Arts section on Thursday. But critic Jason Zinoman wasn’t laughing: “The Joke Is Getting Old – An unswayed Dave Chappelle defends the wealthy and mocks the marginalized.” What did Chappelle do to merit the Times’ prominent censure? He insists on telling jokes about people that Zinoman doesn’t think he should be telling jokes about -- in this case, transgenders.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement were reportedly set to fan out across the country and roundup some 2,000 illegal immigrants for deportation on Sunday. So, the liberal broadcast networks did everything they could Thursday evening to get the word out and educate people on how to evade ICE officials. In the process, they suggested Trump was trying to terrorize communities.

Seven days after CNN offered a meltdown for the ages following President Trump’s Salute to America, The Situation Room was indignant on Thursday after Trump announced the Commerce Department would find another way to determine who in this country was here legally versus who wasn’t. The panel on-hand blasted it as “nonsense” promoting “white identity” that would go over well at Fox News.

There is perhaps no moment in Donald Trump’s presidency in which the media unnecessarily melted down more than in their coverage of President Trump’s Fourth of July “Salute to America” celebration. The event itself was a tribute to America’s military and the country’s history. It featured  flyovers from all five branches of the military.

The leftist media seeks to vilify those who support conservative ideals and glorify all who oppose them. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R), has felt the wrath of the press for decades so it’s not surprising that the liberal media are pulling out all the stops for his Democratic opponent Amy McGrath.

Have you heard about Amazon’s Alexa? She may have heard you. Reports came out in April that full time contract workers for Amazon in the U.S., Costa Rica, and Romania have been listening up to 1,000 audio clips, some of them lasting up to nine hours.
