In a segment normally reserved for looking out for consumers, NBC Nightly News used their Price You Pay series to promote NBCUniversal’s new internet streaming service, Peacock. “Next up for us, the TV streaming wars are heating up as NBCUniversal, our parent company, unveiled its new service late today,” cheered anchor Lester Holt.

Just ten months ago, Speaker Nancy Pelosi proclaimed that impeachment of Donald Trump would not happen unless “there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan.” The House vote to impeach Trump was the dictionary definition of partisan – not a single Republican voted yes. There is nothing compelling and overwhelming here. But MSNBC and kthe rest of the pro-impeachment media are heavily invested in describing impeachment as wonderful and "almost religious."

President Trump was correct in spirit when he predicted, at the Oval Office on Thursday, that “the USMCA will probably be second” as the liberal media would be hyper-focused on his Impeachment trial in the Senate. It was a prediction a little too favorable to the media seeing as ABC, CBS, and NBC completely ignored the Senate’s overwhelming and bipartisan approval of the United States –Mexico-Canada Agreement on trade during their evening newscasts.

Despite the fact that Democrats had been working to remove President Trump from office since the moment he got elected, and that four of his current 2020 rivals were voting to remove him from office in the Senate, ABC’s World News Tonight had an issue with Senate Republicans signing the oath of impartiality for the trial on Thursday.

Big Abortion is jumping into the 2020 race with big numbers. It was announced Thursday that Planned Parenthood is launching what CBS News’ Kate Smith reported is “the biggest electoral effort in its history: a $45 million spend to support presidential, congressional and state-level candidates in the 2020 elections who support abortion rights.”

Talk about #FirstWorldProblems for the liberal media.  Feigning outrage on Thursday’s Situation Room about how Senator Martha McSally (R-AZ) referred to chief congressional correspondent Manu Raju hours earlier as “a liberal hack,” host Wolf Blitzer bemoaned it as a “disgusting” and “awful, awful thing” that, if Arizona voters are smart, could punish her in November (i.e. elect Democrat Mark Kelly instead).

According to CNN presidential historian Douglas Brinkley, we can kiss American democracy goodbye if Senate Democrats don’t get their way with the Trump impeachment trial. That was the message he delivered Thursday afternoon when to eager co-hosts Wolf Blitzer and Jake Tapper, stating that presidents will now act as “an outlaw” with “imperial precedent” and “democracy” will be “broken” if Senate Democrats aren’t able to take over the trial with a slew of witnesses, but then remove Trump from office.

Every few days, the nation’s Spanish-speaking news outlets seem to obsess about one word, or term, and repeat it constantly in order to hammer on their audiences on their chosen points of view as the last- pun intended- word.

On Tuesday's Amanpour & Co., PBS's Michel Martin interviewed Lee McIntyre -- author of the book Post-Truth -- with the two discussing perceptions that lying is more accepted from political figures than in the past because of the election of Donald Trump as President. Without any pushback from Martin, McIntyre argued in favor of journalists censoring the views of those they disagree with, including global warming skeptics.

In a rare moment of candor, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell admitted what the network has become: An echo chamber that won’t accept debate. Appearing Sunday on The Al Franken Podcast, O’Donnell disputed the idea that CNN “hates Trump.” The host contrasted, “On MSNBC there will be no one defending [Trump] because we don’t bring on liars. I don’t bring on a liar. I won’t do that.”

What must it be like to live in a constant state of agony due to your own erratic and irrational thoughts? One would need to pose this question to TBS host Samantha Bee, as she is well versed in the field of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Bee’s latest TDS episode occurred on Wednesday’s edition of Full Frontal.

On Thursday, NBC’s Today show devoted a full segment to examining the popular “Ok, Boomer” meme on social media by talking to a group of teenagers and senior citizens about the generation gap. Amid other reasons for the divide, correspondents Savannah Sellers and Harry Smith touted climate change as a major cause of generational tension.

The New York Times published an op-ed today rather explicitly calling for the dismissal of The View panelist Meghan McCain. The headline was "‘The View’ Has a Meghan McCain Problem: The daytime co-hosts’ heated bipartisan debates are played down as disagreement among friends. But the strain for 'civility' is tiring."

For what may be the first time in a long time, there was a day of true bipartisanship in the House of Representatives during the Congressional Gold Medal ceremony on Wednesday.

CNN reporter Manu Raju is receiving flowers and sympathy notes from his distraught colleagues after a Republican Senator gave him a snarky response to a question he asked on impeachment, Thursday. On Capitol Hill, Senator Martha McSally of Arizona was approached by the CNN reporter and asked if “new evidence” would be allowed into the Senate trial on President Trump’s impeachment. McSally kept walking past Raju and responded, “Manu, you’re a liberal hack. I’m not talking to you.” After he tried again, she repeated again, “You’re a liberal hack.”
