Shortly after 3 pm Eastern time on Thursday afternoon, the conservative blog Ace of Spades noted ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos was caught on camera making the slit-the-throat "kill" gesture to cut away from Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow taking press questions. They were nice enough to add "Hopefully MRC or someone will have it later." Challenge accepted.
In a gushing interview with the three female Democratic impeachment managers, aired on Friday’s Today show, NBC Capitol Hill correspondent Kasie Hunt sounded like an adoring fan as she proclaimed: “Congresswomen Zoe Lofgren, Val Demings, and Sylvia Garcia are making history.” They all chatted about how “women are smarter than men” for backing the removal of President Trump from office.
The ratings are in for the first day of the Democratic House Managers impeachment arguments in front of the Senate, and the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS and NBC) collectively lost about three million viewers who would have been expected to watch their normal fare of daytime soap operas.
Self-awareness isn't Chris Cuomo's strong suit. The CNN host stepped in it, yet again on Thursday while trying to shame Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin over his comments to Swedish teen activist, Greta Thunberg at Davos, this week. Even after Cuomo’s network was sued for millions of dollars for defaming the Covington Catholic teens, Cuomo had the audacity to claim that kids were off limits.
While television networks largely celebrate abortion, it’s worth noting that a celebration of life is taking place, with the annual March for Life on January 24. Whether networks will finally give these peaceful pro-lifers their due in media coverage, after for years neglecting them, remains to be seen. Meanwhile, liberal television networks, from news shows, to actress spokespersons, to television dramas, continue to promote abortion to the public.
Our media elites arrogantly lecture about our democracy being undermined by robotic propaganda, but do they ever listen to themselves talk about the Democrats? Somehow, they think their robotic propaganda is just telling the “truth.” The press came to witness the Senate impeachment trial, and Adam Schiff had them at “hello. Did you know he's the second coming of Abraham Lincoln at Gettysburg?
As we usher in the new year, we also get to usher in Hollywood’s many liberal shows that have come back from their winter break. Freeform’s The Bold Type is definitely at the top of the list of leftist agenda-driven shows, and Thursday’s episode “Legends of the Fall Issue” was no exception as the conservative white male characters get put in their place (once again) by the younger, woke social justice warriors.
That’s it! Stop the impeachment trial and remove President Trump now because Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) was on the verge of tears! That was essentially the reaction CNN had to Schiff’s final words in Thursday’s session. CNN Tonight host Don Lemon touted how the proceedings adjourned with “A very emotional closing there from the lead impeachment manager, Adam Schiff saying, ‘Right matters. Truth matters. Otherwise, we are lost.’ Getting choked up there.”
ABC's heartfelt drama A Million Little Things just aired one big thing on Thursday night when it had it's 12-year-old characters share their first kiss - a gay kiss.
Move over, Barack Obama. Because the liberal media might love Adam Schiff just as much — if not more! Along with CNN, MSNBC reacted late Thursday with eye-rolling joy for lead House Impeachment Manager Adam Schiff’s closing remarks, boasting that the “emotional,” “impassioned,” and “powerful” media darling gave such a “cri de coeur” that “was a wonderful, wonderful thing to see.”
The NBC sitcom Perfect Harmony can be a charming show that often shows a positive, loving image of rural Christian churchgoers. While the show also goes off-key at times in its portrayal of rural Christians, it has steered clear of pushing contemporary sexual agendas.
The impeachment trial of President Trump has only been underway for a couple of days, and already one of the liberals reporting for the ratings-challenged CNN channel is criticizing members of the Senate for not paying sufficient attention to the speeches made by the Democratic managers from the House of Representatives. One of the people angered most by the “lazy” officials was John Berman, co-host for the New Day morning program on that network, who claimed on Thursday: “[I]I’s not like the future of the Republic is at stake. Oh, wait. It is.”
Star Trek has always been a little political, but lately the long-running science-fiction franchise has suffered from social justice wokeness and Trump derangement syndrome. Unfortunately, it seems like the latest series Star Trek: Picard will take the same route as it questions the “moral authority” of once iconic institutions. Not even Patrick Stewart’s return as Picard can save the political spiral.
Even when Hollywood acknowledges the humanity of the unborn (only in the context of the mother wanting it, of course), they still must get their digs in at pro-lifers and promote the pro-choice position. Such was the case on Thursday’s episode of Freeform’s grown-ish, (“Damn”) as student Nomi (Emily Arlook) shows up at college very obviously pregnant after being away for several months, leading her best friend Zoey (Yara Shahidi) to ask why she didn’t “uncomplicate the situation.” The show also pushed the untruth that a woman can’t have an abortion at five-months gestation because it’s “too late.”
In the past, the middling NBC sitcom Superstore has compared an employer asking for a social security card to 'Nazi Germany' and regularly "winked" at the hiring of an illegal immigrant named Mateo. The show pushed the immigration envelope again this week, in the episode "Favoritism," on January 23.
