CNN’s New Day on Friday promoted the gushy new HBO documentary on John McCain, with substitute host David Briggs lamenting that President Trump “perpetuated...that John McCain is in a sense almost a traitor to the Republican Party.” Peter Kunhardt, the HBO film’s creator, bizarrely claimed the hallmark of McCain’s career is “the consistency of his message.” But he also said the “culmination” of the film is McCain flip-flopping on the repeal of Obamacare.
Chris Matthews, obviously frustrated by the utter lack of any evidence of Trump-Russia collusion, tells an Adam Schiff staffer in private that he needs "something that leads to impeachment."
On Friday, CBS This Morning co-host Norah O’Donnell introduced a report on voters in Ireland heading to the polls to decide whether or not to repeal the nation’s pro-life amendment banning abortions except when the mother’s life is at risk, touting: “A historic referendum in Ireland today could relax that country’s strict anti-abortion laws.”
For those keeping score at home, this is the third post on Thursday’s Hardball, so that should tell you plenty about the straight jacket-worthy craziness that unfolded on MSNBC from start to finish. It began at the top with ringleader/host Chris Matthews setting a grim picture of the country’s future down to NBCNews.com’s Heidi Przybyla seeming to question the intelligence of those in flyover country for not understanding the ramifications of the Russia probe.
Gosh, these people are coming unglued. During Thursday’s edition of Hardball, MSNBC host Chris Matthews declared that “Fox News nation” (aka Trump supporters) are not interested in the American people “get[ting] along with each other” but instead “hat[ing] each other.” Matthews upped the craziness by arguing that, on the NFL’s new national anthem policy, “[t]elling the football players we watch on Sunday to behave as they are told is something we expect of apartheid regime, not a democratic one.”
With Memorial Day weekend upon us, it's not all about a day off and a barbeque, it's about honoring and remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Really, it's something we should be doing all year long, but in Hollywood it's the opposite. They seem to take joy in dragging down our military. I guess it's too much to expect them to show some respect and gratitude to those who defend their right to free speech, though, isn't it?
Obama’s director of national intelligence James Clapper went on a tour of Very Supportive Liberal Networks on Wednesday, starting with the PBS NewsHour. Judy Woodruff threw marshmallows like “The president, as you know, has been just constantly critical of the intelligence community since he’s been in office….What is the effect of these cumulative comments by the president?” And “Is the intelligence community destined to be undermined, misunderstood, not appreciated?”
On Thursday, President Trump corrected that heinous injustice by issuing a pardon for Johnson after actor Sylvester Stallone shared the story with him. That’s right, the president the liberal media love to portray as a staunch racist actually pardoned a man who was a victim of true racism. But, of course, not all of the media thought it was noteworthy during their evening broadcasts. Both ABC and Spanish-language network Telemundo omitted Johnson’s pardon from their reports.
On Thursday, President Trump announced that he was calling off the greatly anticipated U.S.-North Korea summit because the other party was acting in bad faith going into it, something the President promised to do weeks ago. Of course, many in the liberal media used the opportunity to suggest it was somehow a diplomatic blunder on his part despite nuclear threats by the regime overnight. ABC seemed to be in that camp as they downplayed North Korea’s recent hostile actions.
Amid an absolutely insane Thursday night edition of Hardball, MSNBC host Chris Matthews repeatedly condemned the new NFL policy regarding protests of the Star-Spangled Banner and, during one such instance, he relied on help from former NFL player Donte Stallworth, who happens to be a former 9/11 truther.
The very vanguard of the far Left is reacting bitterly today to the NFL's new policy banning football players from disrespectfully kneeling during the national anthem. Editorialists for The New York Times and The Washington Post, as well as USA Today, acted as if the hated Republican Party had just taken over the NFL in their denunciations, and the ACLU condemned the NFL's actions as "un-American."
While most celebrities readily declare themselves feminists, one famous TV judge is challenging the movement in a groundbreaking move. On Tuesday, Judge Judy Sheindlin appeared as a guest on Megyn Kelly Today. Host Megyn Kelly reminded viewers that the famous TV judge is in the 22nd season of her syndicated show that premiered in 1996. During their exchange, Judge Judy refused the feminist label.
Hollywood is rallying for the abortion industry once again – this time in support of taxpayer funding. On Tuesday night, President Trump announced a proposal at the Susan B. Anthony List gala that would prohibit Title X federal funding from organizations that provide or promote abortion. In reaction to the proposal, several celebrities, like Jane Fonda and Jessica Biel, expressed fury that abortion giant Planned Parenthood might lose funding and tweeted out “#NoGagRule.”
A Wednesday article from CNN touted the involvement of young American volunteers during the final days of a pro-life campaign in Ireland. Correspondent Kara Fox zeroed in on how Irish pro-abortion activists blasted one pro-life couple for their supposedly "deceptive" ways. Fox later spotlighted that "some Irish are outraged by foreign groups...arguing that American campaigners are using their vacations to stage a proxy war on women's rights in their country." She also failed to mention the involvement of Americans on the pro-abortion side.
Put simply, MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough has a very nasty habit. When someone disagrees with him, he often resorts to hammering that person as being either “too stupid” or “too incompetent” to be taken seriously. That pattern of behavior continued on Wednesday, when the former Republican stated that “you’re too stupid to handle household appliances” if you believe there was a conspiracy by the Justice Department, the FBI and the administration of former President Barack Obama to rig the 2016 presidential election.
