Jay Leno took some more comedic shots at NBC Thursday.

During his Tonight Show opening monologue, Leno said, “In his speech earlier this week in Latin America, the Pope told the people to give up the false idols of success and money. That's the same thing NBC just told me.”

JAY LENO: Pope Francis is in Rio for youth week. Today, he was greeted by over one million Brazilians on Copacabana Beach for the annual blessing of the thongs. That was quite something. [Light laughter]

No, interesting, in his speech earlier this week in Latin America, the Pope told the people to give up the false idols of success and money. That's the same thing NBC just told me. [Laughter] [Applause]

And speaking of that, congratulations, our own Jimmy Fallon. He and his beautiful wife Nancy, they had a new baby girl this week. [Cheers and applause] They had a baby girl. Congratulations, Jimmy. And did you see how NBC announced it yesterday? Take a look.
