Appearing on MSNBC Live With Veslshi & Ruhle Friday afternoon, presidential historian and journalist Jon Meacham joined his liberal media colleagues in predictably blaming President Trump for the mail bombs sent to prominent Democrats throughout the week. When asked how Trump should respond to the incidents, the author insisted: “Well, he needs to take responsibility for having addressed our fears and exacerbated our fears instead of inspiring our hopes.”
Once upon a time parents, most of them anyway, were concerned with oversexualized costumes for little children, but how unenlightened was that? Today we're focusing our energies on what's really important. It's now all about “cultural appropriation.” White children need to “own their privilege” and not dress up and pretend to belong to a non-oppressive race.
One of the big liberal memes in this election season is about the many women who voted for Donald Trump in 2016 but have now seen the error of their ways and have decided to go Blue this year. And since there are supposed to be so many women in that category, they should be easy to find, right? Well, Politico writer Michael Kruse attempted to hunt them down but came up woefully short.
Weekday morning CNN Newsroom co-host, chief national security correspondent, and former Obama administration official Jim Sciutto offered a repulsive piece of analysis Friday night on the suspect arrested in this week’s mail bombs, comparing the President to Islamic terrorists like ISIS peddling online propaganda to help lone wolves become “self-radicalized” and carry out attacks. Of course, Sciutto received zero pushback on his asinine and ugly comparison.
The left’s Meltdown of Kavanaugh Rage Pot Luck & Hootenanny has certainly been entertaining. Cory Booker’s Concern Face alone was worth the price of admission.
MSNBC guests and hosts went into full blame mode on Friday, lashing out at Donald Trump as “terrorist sympathizer” in the wake of the arrest of alleged mail bomber Cesar Sayoc in Florida. Additionally, Deadline: White House host Nicolle Wallace wondered if people would be scared of criticizing the President.
CNN’s Inside Politics host John King insisted on Thursday’s show that he wasn’t blaming President Donald Trump for this week’s mail bombs, but did exactly that. On Friday, King did it again, declaring that the pro-Trump bumper stickers on the suspects van (including “CNN sucks”) “does not make the President responsible for this,” even though he used the word “but” to then do not only that, but directly lecture Trump supporters.
On Wednesday evening, as the broadcast network evening newscasts reported on a shooting attack on a Kroger in the Louisville, Kentucky, area, ABC stood out in not mentioning an armed citizen who shot at the gunman and might have prevented more shootings.
During Wednesday’s edition of Cuomo Prime Time, host Chris Cuomo blasted President Trump, blaming him as well as conservative media for the mail bombs sent to his place of business and other influential figures in the Democratic Party in the preceding 48 hours. As Cuomo speculated about “what might have inspired” the rash of suspicious packages, he did not hesitate to place the blame at the feet of the President of the United States: “Our President cannot escape special scrutiny. He is at the head of the hate parade and way too often.”
Barbra Streisand has long been known as one of lefty Hollywood’s standard-bearers, an identity that brings with it media appearances, protest attendance, and maybe some message-embedding in songs or movies.
On Thursday night and Friday morning, ABC and NBC newscasts refused to cover not one but two bad stories for liberal media darling and attorney Michael Avenatti as Republican Senator Chuck Grassley (IA) requested the Department of Justice investigate Avenatti and Kavanaugh accuser Julie Swetnick for their behavior during the confirmation fight.
The morning after NBC Nightly News scared viewers by instructing them on how to spot bombs in their mail, on Friday, MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle suggested that explosives might be smuggled around by people dressed in Halloween costumes as the holiday nears. In response, NBC News analyst and former ATF Special Agent Jim Cavanaugh tried to provide calm.
CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King on Friday demanded that a Democratic Senator go to the White House and “confront” the President. After Mark Warner attacked Donald Trump for criticizing the FBI, King insisted, “A lot of people feel the way you do, Senator, that words matter. Why don't a group of you all get together and just confront him and say, you know, ‘Mr. President, this is not helping. You've got to stop it'?"
The midterm elections are less than two short weeks away, so showbiz proggies have doubled down on the pro-Democratic rhetoric. In order to market to the young, hip listeners out there, Billboard featured a spread of famous musicians’ reasons for voting this November. Would it be too obvious to say that that their opinions skew radically left-wing and anti-Trump?
President Donald Trump took on the social media outlet that he dominates, slamming Twitter Friday. His regular tweeting has been a huge boost to the site, but he accused it of removing followers and limiting the growth of his account.
