New on September 16: ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today on Monday opened their Monday shows by hyping a new allegation against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, despite that allegation being undermined with the admission by the New York Times that the supposed college victim “declined to be interviewed and friends say that she does not recall the incident.”
While the liberal media attack business leaders they disagree with, they are happy to help promote CEO calls for action when that action furthers the liberal agenda. That’s what The New York Times and CNN did by promoting CEO demands for gun control legislation on Sept. 12. Crediting business leaders, the Times claimed “The market is demanding action — and businesses are listening.”
Texas State Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa appeared on Univision’s Sunday political affairs show Al Punto and responded to host Jorge Ramos’ cheerleading over Beto O’Rourke’s proposed gun grab with a cold dose of reality. Watch below as Hinojosa tells Ramos, in so many words, that Beto’s dog don’t hunt:
Only days after NBC’s 3rd Hour Today show celebrated liberal Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s ten-year anniversary on the high court with a cake, on Monday, the broadcast devoted over seven minutes of air time to promoting a New York Times hit piece against Justice Brett Kavanaugh, just in time to mark the conservative jurist’s first year on the bench.
The View’s “moderate” co-host Abby Huntsman came out swinging against the New York Times Monday morning, for publishing a hit piece that was full of holes against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Nearly a year after his nomination was tarnished by a media-hyped unsubstantiated accusation of attempted rape, the paper was back at it again this weekend publishing another dubious account of sexual misconduct that was even not corroborated by the alleged victim herself. Huntsman gave the liberal paper a harsh rebuke, warning them that they were helping to re-elect President Trump.
Don’t you love when lefties slam Christians as hokey fanatics, but cling to their progressive pieties with as much reverence and zeal. Comedian and usually anti-Christian comedian Sarah Silverman tried to show social media users that she too understands the Christian perspective so long as it relates to climate change.
Once again, Twitter does not seem to understand satire. Titania McGrath is a parody Twitter persona created by comedian and Spiked columnist Andrew Doyle to satirize social justice advocates. “She” was suspended by Twitter for 7 days in mid-September after sending a satirical insult to a Twitter user.
Fact-checkers have been given an enormous amount of authority over what news stays and what cannot be allowed to flourish on Facebook. Pro-life organization Live Action found this out the hard way last week, after the platform was fact-checked by abortionists and Facebook threatened to limit the page’s outreach. Although Facebook stepped back from that decision after Senators Josh Hawley (R-MI) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) sent a letter to the company, the fact-checkers have not backed down.
The New York Times’s bias and shoddy journalism played out yet again on Twitter. Over the weekend, the paper was forced to delete tweets after a bizarre series of postings meant to promote the paper’s latest hit job on Brett Kavanaugh. Regarding the book excerpt claiming that a college-aged Kavanaugh exposed himself at a party, The Times's @NYTOpinion weirdly began, “Having a penis thrust in your face at a drunken dorm party may seem like harmless fun...” What?
All three networks eagerly promoted a new allegation against Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct during his college days, published by the New York Times over the weekend. The paper’s report was an excerpt of a new anti-Kavanaugh book authored by Times reporters that largely used anonymous sources to smear the conservative, Catholic Supreme Court Justice. Nearing the anniversary of Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing that was mired by uncorroborated accusations of attempted rape and sexual misconduct, the networks spent the morning hailing the “growing calls” by 2020 Democrats for impeachment.
Liberal reporters and hosts have been paving the way for Joe Biden, as they have excused his non-stop gaffes as “endearing” and even “Reagan-esque.” At the same time, they were shocked by the “horror show coming out of Trump’s mouth” as MSNBCers like Chris Matthews and Donny Deutsch compared the President to tyrants like Idi Amin and blamed him for the El Paso shooting. The following is a round-up of the most obnoxious outbursts from liberal journalists and celebrities over the past month.
The latest anti-Kavanaugh hit job comes in book form: “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation,” by New York Times reporters Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly. An excerpt appeared Sunday: “Brett Kavanaugh Fit In. She Did Not.” That “she” is Deborah Ramirez, whose uncorroborated sexual allegation against Kavanaugh (were part of the hearings frenzy. The reporters claim a new and damaging account involving Kavanaugh and a lewd act at a party. But there was also one staggering factual omission that once again suggested the New York Times still cares more about ruining Kavanaugh’s reputation than the pursuit of truth.
Morning Joe might have been more motivated by concern for Democrats than upholding journalistic standards. But the show did today rip the New York Times for its "glaring omission" in failing to include in the original version of its article about a new accusation against Brett Kavanaugh the fact that the alleged victim doesn't want to speak and friends say doesn't recall the incident. Joe Scarborough also criticized the Times' failure to mention that the person who brought forth the new allegation, Max Stier, was on the other side from Kavanaugh in the Starr investigation. Joe and Mika warned Dems that jumping on this latest story could backfire on them. They suggested that the presidential candidates calling for Kavanaugh's impeachment speak with Claire McCaskill and ask how the Kavanaugh hearings, etc. worked out for her and other Democrats in 2018.
Here’s a pattern that’s feeling familiar: AMC’s Preacher hating God and all aspects of religion. Unfortunately for us, each episode tends to be worse than the last to keep things edgy, and the latest episode is no exception. Here, we see God taking a direct and bloody action towards destroying His creation.
Appearing as a guest on Friday's Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO, New York Times opinion editor Bari Weiss not only complained about the media and her own paper's tendency to pander to what excites the Twittersphere, but she also called out her fellow left-wingers who have been tolerant of anti-Semitism.
