At the news that White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders would be leaving her post at the end of the month, CNN shamelessly spent their primetime hours that night giving her most bitter foe in the press free reign to bash her character. Both Erin Burnett and Don Lemon brought on April Ryan, who isn’t event CNN’s own White House correspondent, to slam Sanders one last time as “suffering from lie-abetes” and declaring her was the “worst press secretary” in the past three decades.
If Donald Trump announced today that he’s going to find a cure for cancer tomorrow, liberals would whine and complain that a lot of people with medical careers would unfairly be put out of work. But when Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden made such an outlandish claim, the women on ABC’s The View program applauded the promise even though co-host Joy Behar warned that accomplishing such a task will be “much more difficult” if the liberals’ top priority of climate change has not been dealt with first.
Former Facebook CSO Alex Stamos joined MSNBC Live host Stephanie Ruhle on Thursday to discuss Facebook's response, or lack of a response, to doctored or misleading videos. Ruhle was particularly upset that misleading videos, such as the Nancy Pelosi one from a few weeks ago, was not removed and even wondered what the government could do about.
CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta appeared on the Hugh Hewitt radio show on Thursday, and under questioning from the right, strangely claimed he's all about bringing Americans together and that he wrote his book Enemy of the People....for Republicans?
As NBC Nightly News continued its monotonous drumbeat on Thursday to elevate liberal policy positions ahead of the Democratic debate they were holding, the network gave the megaphone to South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg in order to push for abolishing the Electoral College.
During Wednesday's Morning Joe, the panel interviewed New York Times contributing opinion writer Pete Wehner, who wrote a book entitled The Death of Politics: How to Heal Our Fractured Republic After Trump and the conversation focused on evangelicals’ support for President Trump. Not surprisingly, it did not long for those on-set to start accusing the evangelicals who support President Trump of subscribing to a “robotic mindset” and condemning their support for a President who traffics in “cruelty and dehumanization.”
For the Thursday afternoon’s airing of CNN Newsroom, substitute anchor Pamela Brown hosted a discussion on President Trump’s recent Oval Office interview, in which he stated that he may or may not call the FBI if a foreign entity offered information on a political opponent. In that time, CNN senior Justice correspondent Evan Perez suggested the now-infamous Steele dossier wasn’t foreign interference because it made its way to the FBI. At no point did Perez now it was paid for and intended to be used by the Clinton campaign.
In George Orwell’s 1984, ever-present telescreens continuously broadcast propaganda for the totalitarian government IngSoc. One would have to look no further than a video released Wednesday on the website of Harper's Bazaar to get an idea of what this kind of propaganda looks like. The video’s purpose was to advocate for Planned Parenthood and abortion “rights,” calling people to stand up against the new pro-life bills passed across the country.
MSNBC’s The Last Word, was back on Wednesday night to their usual anti-Trump rhetoric, amidst Trump’s recent ABC interview which had sent the entire liberal media in a frenzy. To begin, O’Donnell showed a clip from the interview in which President Trump stated: “I’ve seen a lot of things over my life. I don’t think in my whole life I’ve ever called the FBI, in my whole life. You don’t call the FBI.”
Google and YouTube aren’t less interested in free speech than in maintaining politically correct status. Google CEO Sundar Pichai told his gay Google employees, aka “Gayglers,” that the company will consult “many groups, including people who have themselves experienced harassment” in order to descide future company policy. He proclaimed that “our Gaygler and Trans communities have always been a core part of Google culture,” according to The Verge, which received a copy of the June 12 e-mail.
Former Maryland Congressman John Delaney was on The View Thursday, joining the crowd of Democrat presidential candidates who have come on the show. Despite espousing many typical liberal, big government policies, he framed himself as a centrist Democrat, noting areas where his party was being extreme, fiscally. While Sunny Hostin pressed the Democrat from the left at every turn, even Joy Behar admitted she wasn’t for one of the party’s more radical bills.
President Trump made more headlines Wednesday night after he told ABC chief anchor George Stephanopoulos that he would be fine with taking “oppo research” on his 2020 opponent from foreign countries. This comment drew criticism. But during their almost two hours and 30 minutes of prime time coverage, or hair-on-fire panic, neither CNN nor MSNBC cared to mention that that’s exactly what the Clinton campaign did in 2016 with the now-infamous dossier.
On Wednesday, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed into law a new abortion bill that is being called more radical than New York’s law that was passed in January. So far none of the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) have reported on the Illinois law that – among other things – does away with that state’s ban on partial birth abortions.
On the June 12 edition of Hannity, media reporter Joe Concha of The Hill insisted the liberal networks are pushing impeachment because it would be good for their anemic ratings, and expressed amazement NBC is using Rachel Maddow as a debate moderator when four years ago, she hugged Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton after the debate ended. "Picture Shannon Bream or Martha MacCallum doing that to a Republican candidate, the apocalypse would look like nothing compared what the reaction would be."
Remember the days when you could plop your kid in front of the TV without worrying about lefty indoctrination? Well, those days are over. Yesterday, Buzzfeed confirmed that My Little Pony will premiere an episode featuring a lesbian couple on Saturday for Discovery Family. This is coupled with a tweet from the Cartoon Network celebrating Pride Month.
