On the Amtrak train, their magazine The National featured a gushy interview with Michelle Obama by 12-year-old journalist Hilde Lysiak, the daughter of former New York Daily News reporter Matthew Lysiak. The questions were very promotional, like Mrs. Obama and her PR staff wrote them up. But that's exactly how Michelle Obama's interviews with adult reporters and anchors often sound.

The liberal bastion of Los Angeles hasn’t had a Republican mayor in office since 2001. Yet, according to Democratic Mayor Eric Garcetti, and the silence from NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt, the city’s exploding homelessness problem was getting worse due to “conservative cuts to programs.”

Ever wonder why hubris late-night hosts fail to put their money where their mouth is and run for public office? After all, they believe they possess more intelligence than the large swath of the country who voted for President Trump. Alas, Stephen Colbert will likely never grace the world running for any official position. However, he did offer up some advice to 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren on Tuesday’s The Late Show.

Despite the fact that Lewandowski refused to answer a lion’s share of the questioning and squabbled with a few House Democrats on the Oversight Committee, the A-block panel on Tuesday’s Hardball somehow thought the proceedings were a wildly successful exercise for impeachment and shaming those not in the Resistance.

Ever since Taylor Swift decided to join the left’s propaganda machine, the pop star has been one of the hottest tickets for interviews. In the last couple of months, her album’s debut and her explicit denunciations of President Donald Trump and “straight white men” have her fans salivating. This week she gave her most politically uninhibited interview yet, claiming that America under this president has “racist, horrific overtones,” a far cry from how “respected” and “dignified” we were under Obama.

During  a conversation on the Trump administration’s impact on the judicial branch Tuesday night, two CNN prime time hosts expressed disappointment about the administration’s progress in transforming the judiciary and slammed Christian conservatives for supporting President Trump in spite of his personal moral failings.

So much for transparency. Liberal billionaire Tom Steyer claims he has a commitment to transparency. But the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate told the government he could not disclose hundreds of millions of dollars worth of assets. After his filing with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, The Daily Beast reporter Lachlan Markay reported that Steyer “declined to go into detail about significant segments of his investment portfolio, citing confidentiality agreements.”

NBC and its affiliate networks have amped their climate alarmist coverage in the run-up to the United Nations Climate Action Summit to be held in New York later this month. Not to be outdone, Telemundo has weighed in. Not only does Telemundo correspondent Vannesa Hauc close her report with a bit of fear-mongering, but watch as anchor Felicidad Aveleyra bookends the report with a call to action:

Journalists simply can’t get enough of Greta Thunberg, the radical 16-year-old Swedish climate activist who wants people to stop flying in order to save the planet. MSNBC hosts on Wednesday bashed their own kids as not living up to the great climate hero.

During the past several weeks, Chris Cuomo -- host of CNN’s Cuomo Prime Time program -- and Don Lemon -- anchor of CNN Tonight -- have used the weeknight “handoff” from the first show to the next as an opportunity to discuss items of interest to both liberal announcers. On Monday evening, the hosts bemoaned the fate of Shane Gillis, a comedian who was fired just days after it was announced he was going to join the cast of NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

While CBS This Morning and ABC’s Good Morning America both devoted full reports on Monday to the arrest of prominent Democratic donor Ed Buck on drug charges following two recent overdose deaths at his Los Angeles home, NBC’s Today show was remarkably silent on the major political news.

Shane Gillis’ immediate firing from Saturday Night Live over one year-old insensitive Chinese jokes has generated serious discussion about how our society should deal with being offended by entertainers and other members of the media. Granted there’s a whole swarm people putting out credible arguments about how Shane was offensive, but fellow comedians see his decisive termination as a symptom of something worse: a culture that seeks to destroy what it disagrees with, which signals trouble for comedy, and ultimately free speech at large.

Comedian Chelsea Handler loves being browbeaten about her white privilege by woke millennial college students, apparently. On The View Wednesday, she admitted that in her new Netflix documentary about white privilege, she visited a liberal college campus where black students “took her to task” her about her own privilege. Handler said she even took sexual harassment and racial sensitivity classes, which “everyone” should be taking, she said.

Wednesday on The View, the panel roundly criticized former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday. As Democrats aggressively grilled Lewandowski, he refused to answer several questions and even slammed the media at one point. View co-host Joy Behar raged against both Lewandowski and Brett Kavanaugh’s temperament during their respective hearings as worse than “murderers and pimps.”

After years of fiery preaching about a coming climate apocalypse, at least one media outlet took the religious fervor to new levels. As part of NBC News’ new “dedicated” unit on climate change — “Climate in Crisis” — which launched Sept. 15, NBC made itself the environmental priest welcoming confessions for climate sins.
