MSNBC Guest Rants Against ‘Lunatics’ Limbaugh and Coulter

A Democratic candidate for the governorship in Maryland appeared on MSNBC Live with Stephanie Ruhle Tuesday to further incite mayhem on the day’s already circus-like broadcast. Ruhle did her part in setting up the full-fledged #Resistance member Ross with typical leftist innuendos, decrying constitutionalists like Mark Levin as the “extreme right” capable of playing to the oft-maligned Trump “base”. Ross took the bait and, refused to be one-upped in shrill hysteria:

RUHLE: Well you know who's not in uneasy alliance that super right. We have heard in the last few days, whether it's Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, Newt Gingrich this morning, all the sudden this shift that extreme right is now going after Bob Mueller. Is that what matters to the President? Because we know that group knows how to fire up his base. But his base isn't going anywhere.

ALEC ROSS: Yea, I think we're in full-on banana republic mode right now. I think President Trump has already crossed the line multiple times in terms of who he's willing to firing, what he's willing to do. So what do you do when you're on your back foot when your approval rating is getting to the low 30s? Re-embrace the base. And that's what Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh and all these other lunatics do is they fire up that 30 to 35% which also has the effect of scaring mainstream Republicans in congress, in keeping them from push too hard against Trump. So for all of the outrage that would be caused by firing Bob Mueller, I actually don't think that the Republican congress would do much. I don't think they're going to do much of anything unless Trump gets caught in bed with a live boy or dead girl.

RUHLE: Okay. that's also a little bit much for 9:00 AM in the morning.

Ross decried “lunatics” like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter as agents to the Trump base, for whom Mr. Ross appears to have palpable contempt. Despite Obama’s numerous scandals, it’s only now that we’re living in a “banana republic?” In keeping with the general flavor of his rant, Ross finished with a strange allusion to corrupt Louisiana governor Edwin Edwards by saying: “I don't think they're going to do much of anything unless Trump gets caught in bed with a live boy or dead girl.”

Ruhle, who had just finished castigating her Republican guest for using the term “grow a pair”, essentially laughed Ross’ reference off.
