Friday at the Hot Topics table, the hosts of The View argued with Utah Republican, Rep. Mia Love, pressuring her to call President Trump a racist, after he blamed her critical stance towards him as the reason why she lost to her Democrat challenger in the midterm elections. Love didn’t fold under the pressure from the liberal hosts, instead calling out Democrats for targeting her because she is a black, female Republican.
According to a new draft report from CBS on the culture at 60 Minutes and the network, it wasn’t just former co-host Charlie Rose and ex-CEO Les Moonves who allegedly harassed and abused women. CBS This Morning reporter Vladimir Duthiers explained the leaked findings: “Eight current females tell us they have experienced a toxic workplace or frat house environment including harassment and being made to feel uncomfortable.”
Participating in a panel discussion for the Recode Decode podcast with fellow NBC News colleagues Chuck Todd and Hallie Jackson, on Wednesday, Andrea Mitchell told host Kara Swisher that two of the reasons for Hillary Clinton’s defeat in the 2016 presidential election were “gaslighting” from the Trump campaign and “the unfairness of the media.”
Beauty pageants could be approaching their biggest cultural watershed moment yet. Not only has Angela Ponce, the trans woman crowned 2018’s Miss Spain, become the first transgender to compete for the Miss Universe crown, she is poised to win the entire competition. She claims the victory would be “a win for human rights,” and a slam to conservatives and Trump.
Thursday, the media continued bringing President Trump into their live coverage of former President George H.W. Bush’s funeral proceedings. Instead of comparing their presidencies, ABC took it a step further late Thursday, with two of its journalists crudely mocking how President Trump’s own funeral would be different.
Sometimes the liberals on the MSNBC cable television channel become so involved in their take on a story that they need a conservative guest to remind them that there’s a big world out there they never cover. That was the case on Thursday, when the frequent Trump critics on the weekday Morning Joe program were reminded by presidential biographer Jon Meacham of an obvious truth: “It is possible ... in America to have a conversation about someone and not be about the incumbent president.”
The New York Times' lead story Thursday proved that its newish alarmist environmental reporter Kendra Pierre-Louis is a worthy successor to the paper’s previous alarmist environmental reporter, Justin Gillis, in “Emissions Surge, Hastening Perils Across The Globe – 2 New Warming Studies – Rising Greenhouse Gases Likened to ‘Speeding Freight Train.’” The lead sentence was even more histrionic than the left-wing Huffington Post’s take, which treated the carbon report as bad news but didn’t engage in wild extrapolation the way Pierre-Louis and her headline writer did.
On Morning Joe, commenting on remarks by Rudy Giuliani that could be seen as critical of President Trump, Mika Brzezinski twice asks at "what time" Giuliani crafted his remarks. She twice suggests that the explanation for Rudy's candor could lie in the fact that they came "late in the day." Back in 2016, at a time when Trump was considering Giuliani as a possible selection for Secretary of State, Mika hinted that Rudy had been "drinking a lot" during a meeting with Trump.
Peter Hasson at the Daily Caller made the Drudge Report on Thursday underlining how Snopes.com, "a left-leaning fact-checking website given preferential treatment by Facebook and Google, botched its fact-check of a viral meme that was mocked within political circles for spreading false information." Politico reporter Jake Sherman called the meme "insane fake news."
We knew that the son of liberal news anchor Murphy Brown on CBS’s Murphy Brown would probably not last too long in his new job with a conservative news network. He didn’t. In the episode airing December 6 titled “The Wheels On the Dog Go Round and Round,” Avery Brown quit the show's version of Fox News in a righteous huff, railing against them "shilling for this current administration" and feeding the audience "BS."
Late Thursday night, CNN’s New York office was again evacuated after someone from “the south” phoned in a bomb threat to the building. According to hysterical CNN host Don Lemon, the timing was “suspicious” because it came mere minutes after President Trump put out a tweet attacking the media. And according to one unhinged CNN analyst, it was just another indicator that America was unmistakably “becoming a battlefield”.
CNN host Chris Cuomo was wearing his emotions on his sleeve during his Closing Argument at the end of Thursday’s edition of Cuomo Prime Time. He was raging against Republicans for allegedly not caring about the apparent voter fraud in North Carolina and allegedly trying to “subvert” the will of voters in Wisconsin and Michigan.
I was looking at a man who was innocent, to the point of ignorance, about this damaged element in the American cultural soul. The man who could laugh at himself so publicly couldn't understand why anyone would find such viciousness to be amusing. This was the former leader of the free world and himself a warrior. He was also a husband and also a father seemingly crushed by such incivility.
Thursday night, NBC's Superstore proved to us once again that they are super liberal with an illegal immigration plotline. Did I say illegal? Excuse me for not using the politically correct term “undocumented” that was littered throughout the episode as part of an effort to make it seem less wrong.
Nationally syndicated talk radio show host Rush Limbaugh made a rare television appearance on Tuesday’s edition of Fox News at Night With Shannon Bream. Bream asked Limbaugh to weigh in on the media’s coverage of President George H.W. Bush in the wake of his death last week. Not surprisingly, Limbaugh did not hold back when it came to calling out the media’s politically expedient, “phony” embrace of the late former President..
