New on September 10: Sarah Silverman, on Thursday night’s (September 6) fall premiere of Hulu’s I Love, You America, a weekly show touted as meant to “connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions,” charged that if Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed, “it’s going to affect every vulnerable person in America negatively until the day he dies, until the Devil comes to collect his soul.”

Michael Moore’s anti-American polemics and bomb-throwing “journalism” are usually taken with a grain of salt. But in the era of Trump, the salt shaker is nowhere to be found. And his new movie, Fahrenheit 11/9, has a Rotten Tomato score that indicates that the conspiracy-peddling director has hit the sweet spot in terms of what the media wants.

CBS’s The Talk led off their Monday show with a nearly 10-minute-long discussion on the ouster of CBS chairman and CEO Les Moonves following another disturbing but thorough report from Ronan Farrow in The New Yorker detailing new allegations of sexual misconduct. The four remaining hosts stated their support for the women and the need to hold Mooves accountable, but they also focused on Chen and the fear that they could lose their jobs.

During a panel discussion on ABC’s This Week about former President Obama wading into the 2018 midterm campaign, Chief White House Correspondent Jon Karl pointed out that the Democrat didn’t have a good track record when it came to campaigning for members of his party in midterm elections. The liberals on the Sunday show immediately lost it, rushing to defend Obama against the accurate observation.

Omarosa Manigault Newman was invited on ABC’s The View Monday, to release what was supposedly a damaging tape she recorded of President Trump in the Oval Office in 2017 (and promote her new book, of course.) Even after dismissing the former Apprentice star and White House aide as an unreliable opportunist in the past, the View, and the rest of the media suddenly had a new respect for her after she turned on President Trump with all sorts of sensational claims about life in the administration.

A famed Broadway actress is joining Hollywood’s crusade against President Trump – by asking for president-assassinator John Wilkes Booth. On Sunday, TMZ asked 94-year-old television and Broadway actress Carole Cook (Sixteen Candles, 42nd Street) about President Trump and a recent performance of Frozen.

Apparently questioning someone’s intelligence counts as hate speech.

The New York Times, which is always eager to help Republican candidates, insisted Marsha Blackburn would be making a tactical error in emphasizing her pro-life bona fides as the GOP’s candidate for U.S. Senate in Tennessee. Last month Dias embraced identity politics by celebrating Rashida Tlaib’s Democratic primary victory in Detroit. But the paper’s support for women only goes only to those with a “D” before their name.

Almost ten months after bombshell accusations that ex-CBS This Morning co-host Charlie Rose allegedly sexually harassed and abused women, co-host Norah O’Donnell lamented how “hard” it was to have “my boss,” departing CEO Les Moonves, be accused of sexual assault. After a full report opened the show, O’Donnell began her personal remarks with self pity: “This is hard for everybody as CBS News.”

The New York Times picked sides in a sporting event  -- a conflict between top women’s tennis player Serena Williams and officiating umpire Carlos Ramos, who she tangled with during an enduring emotional on-court meltdown during her losing match against Naomi Osaka. Ramos eventually penalized Williams a full game in the controversial finals of the U.S. Open. The Times called out an umpire ruling against one female player in her match against another female player as...sexism?

During an interview with author Bob Woodward on Monday’s Today show, co-host Savannah Guthrie confronted him with flat denials from Defense Secretary James Mattis and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly regarding quotes attributed to them in the Washington Post journalist’s new tell-all book slamming the Trump White House. Woodward not only stood by his anonymous sources, but accused the two former generals of lying.

The View host Joy Behar appeared on CNN’s Van Jones Show Saturday evening to hawk her anti-Trump book released nearly a year ago, The Great Gasbag, and give her advice to the Democrat party on how to deal with Trump and win elections.

Shh! One of the U.S. Senate candidates backed out of a scheduled debate but could we just forget about that and move on to other matters? That seems to be the reacton of the Texas Tribune to the news that the Democrat candidate in the Senate race to unseat incumbent Ted Cruz, Beto O'Rourke, backed out of a scheduled debate set for August 31. Since then, it has been treated as a rather minor matter by a periodical whose main shtick is Texas politics.

Shameless, the hit Showtime series, has had its fair share of Christian bashing throughout the years. Perhaps most notably last season when Ian Gallagher (Cameron Monaghan), went up against a pastor, cherry-picking Bible verses to fit his agenda and started his own ‘Church of Gay Jesus’ religious movement. In the season 9 premiere, Ian is back, this time fighting for gay rights while quoting Jesus from jail.

Contrary to popular Hollywood belief, our country’s not going down the tubes because our president is Donald Trump. Our country’s going down the tubes thanks to shows like HBO’s The Deuce being renewed. The David Simon-produced, James Franco-led series continues to exploit its MA-rating under the guise of being edgy television. Even more shocking, they seem to be getting away with it!
