CNN's Don Lemon and Panelists Laugh at Trump and His 'Boomer Rube' Voters

On a special Saturday edition of CNN Tonight, CNN host Don Lemon cracked up laughing as his guests derided the intelligence of both President Donald Trump and his "boomer rube" supporters.

CNN, the channel broadcasting a 24/7 liberal superiority dance.

During a discussion of reports that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tried to quiz NPR anchor Mary Louise Kelly by asking her to find Ukraine on a map, host Lemon turned to Republican strategist Rick Wilson -- a frequent Trump critic -- and posed:

DON LEMON: First of all, (Mary Louise) Kelly has a masters degree in European Studies from Cambridge University. Also, he (Mike Pompeo) doesn't really say that she couldn't identify Ukraine on a map, he insinuates it's just a -- it's just a petty attempt to put her down, right? Is that what this is?

Wilson -- who has previously put down Trump supporters as his "rube ten-tooth base" -- quickly went after President Trump and Trump voters as he began:

RICK WILSON, REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST: Of course -- of course. He's just trying to demean her, and obviously it's false. And, look, he also knows, deep In his heart, that Donald Trump couldn't find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter "U" and the picture of an actual physical crane next to it. He knows that this is a, you know, an administration defined by ignorance of the world, and so that's part of him playing to their base and playing to their audience, you know, the credulous boomer rube demo that backs Donald Trump -- that wants to think that (Wilson does impersonation) "Donald Trump's the smart one, and y'all -- y'all elitists are dumb!"

Host Lemon lost control and laughed hysterically as Wilson and liberal CNN contributor Wajahat Ali went back and forth doing impersonations of Trump voters saying dumb things:

WAJAHAT ALI, CNN CONTRIBUTOR: You elitists with your geography and your maps and your spelling!

WILSON: Your math and your reading!

ALI: Yeah, your reading, you know, your geography, knowing other countries, sipping your latte!

WILSON: All those lines on the map!

ALI: Only them elitists know where Ukraine is!

After regaining his composure, the CNN host thanked Wilson for the anti-Trump mockery: "Oh, my God! Hold on -- hold on -- hold on. That was good, sorry. Rick, that was a good one -- I needed that."

After Ali made a crack about using a sharpie to connect Ukraine and Bangladesh, Lemon reiterated his appreciation of the derisive anti-Trump comments: "A 'U' with a crane on it -- that is hilarious."

Below is a transcript of the relevant portion of the Saturday, January 25, CNN Tonight:

LEMON (laughing): Oh, my God!

ALI: But it was Rick's fault. I blame Rick. But, in all honesty--

LEMON: Hold on -- hold on -- hold on. That was good, sorry. Rick, that was a good one -- I needed that. Okay, so, listen.

ALI: But can I tell you what NPR should do? NPR should take a black sharpie, circle it all around that whole subcontinent -- Bangladesh and Ukraine -- and then just be like there's Ukraine, right in the middle, just In honor of Donald Trump.

LEMON: A "U" with a crane on it -- that is hilarious.
