As NewsBusters previously reported, the liberal media have repeatedly defended Antifa, the far-left group that’s unleashed terror in just a few short years. During Monday’s Ingraham Angle, host Laura Ingraham sat down with independent journalist Elijah Schaffer, who recorded footage from the weekend’s Antifa squabbles in Portland. Schaffer slammed the “mainstream outlets” for “ignoring the truth” about the violence caused by Antifa.
In a story for the New York Times front page Tuesday, “Shareholders Rule No More, C.E.O.s Pledge,” business reporters David Gelles and David Yaffe-Bellany conceded all the left-wing arguments about the evils of big business and roasted Nobel laureate free-market economist Milton Friedman as an avatar of greed: "This mind-set informed the corporate raiders of the 1980s and contributed to an unswerving focus on quarterly earnings reports. It found its way into pop culture, when in the 1987 movie “Wall Street,” Gordon Gekko declared, 'Greed is good.'"
During a press gaggle early Wednesday afternoon outside the White House, President Donald Trump absolutely tore into CNN, NBC News, The New York Times, and particularly NBC's Peter Alexander as “an organ of the Democrats” who’s “the most biased reporter” that he makes NBC News less credible than CNN. Yikes. That one’s gonna leave a mark! Alexander first poked at Trump with a question about a debate whether to let the G-7 return to being the G-8 by allowing Russia back in following their annexation of Crimea and support for separatists occupying eastern Ukraine.
Former New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson appeared on the Fox News program America's Newsroom on Wednesday morning to defend the Times after angry staffers leaked a transcript of an internal "town hall" meeting that executive editor Dean Baquet had with employees. Abramson was effusive over how Baquet's position was perfect, that he spoke out for independent journalism that holds people accountable. But she wouldn't accept the way Fox hosts framed the transcript.
Marvel really needs the SJW market for some reason, so it’s injecting its latest Spider-Man comic with a pro-feminist, anti-patriarchy bent that should genuinely please only a handful of comic book readers. Look we get that the market is diversifying, we’re told that every day, but does Marvel really think its audience wants its violence-prone superheroes tackling gender politics?
Trouble in paradise? We all know lefty Hollywood types hate Trump, and Trump’s supporters. And conservatives. And religious people. And rural America -- okay, so they hate a lot of folks. But one group could always count on Tinsel Town’s love and money: Democrats. Bill, Hillary, Barack -- even Al Gore -- were rock stars among the power-worshipping lefties.
“Hottest month in human history” has a certain ring to it. But some scientists say that ring isn’t true. The liberal media, always on the lookout for ways to demand action on climate change, latched on to a recent National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) report, claiming July 2019, was the “warmest on record for the globe.” The United Nations claimed the same thing on Aug. 1, which also generated media histrionics.
After spending Tuesday afternoon whining about Planned Parenthood opting out of Title X funding over an abortion gag order, MSNBC journalists kept up the shameless partisanship into the evening on The Beat With Ari Melber. To no one’s surprise, Melber brought on a far-left feminist panel to melt down over the news, who laughably attacked the right’s “morality” for not allowing government funding of abortion.
Allegedly, Google did everything it could within its power to help Hillary Clinton win in 2016. It didn’t work. So did it happen?Dr. Robert Epstein testified at a Senate hearing in July that Google had helped influence 2.6 million votes in favor of Hillary Clinton in 2016. On August 19, Hillary Clinton slammed his study, claiming it had been “debunked.” Epstein, a Clinton supporter, responded with his first ever “twitter storm,” in essence factually disarming Clinton’s comment. He tweeted, “Hillary Clinton told blatant lies about me today.”
In its rush to rightfully criticize President Trump’s controversial comments about American Jews who vote for Democrats, MSNBC’s Morning Joe completely skipped any mention of the virulent anti-Semitism being routinely spouted by far-left Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib. In addition, the President was accused of inciting violence against a range of minority groups and trying to “hide behind his Jewish son-in-law and his Jewish daughter.”
If a recent episode of Real America is any indication, then the purpose of the partnership between Facebook and Univision appears to be little more than to allow host Jorge Ramos to indulge the fringiest left-wing policies under the guise of journalism
Democratic donor and CBS This Morning host Gayle King on Wednesday gushed over the new production company started by Barack and Michelle Obama. The segment promoted their company Higher Ground and its new Netflix movie American Factory. Speaking as though she was blurbing a movie poster, King cheered, “They don't call their company Higher Ground for nothing. They want to do something that celebrates our core values as a country, and certainly celebrates the triumph and the human spirit. I can’t wait to see it.” It always needs to be pointed out, King has vacationed with the Obamas, so she’s not exactly neutral on the two Democrats.
Yes, it´s true. People over 55 years of age are prospering across the nation. But so are Latinos - and as one Hispanic investment ace tells us, they are not the only ones, much to the chagrin of the liberal Spanish-speaking media that continue to make a case for an ailing economy about to crash and for Donald Trump to be deep-sixed.
During the CNN Newsroom on Tuesday Glorida Borger told host Brooke Baldwin that the reason why Kamala Harris' rising soufflé suddenly deflated following the second Democrat presidential candidate debate in July was due to hypocrisy. What inspired this observation was a CNN poll published on Tuesday that revealed a startling plunge for Harris.
After years of being hammered by liberal talking heads for being too lenient about policing content, social media companies are considering radical changes to the social media landscape. Big Tech giants might begin to decide “what is true and what is false,” according to Axios.
