Republican Congressional candidate Rudy Peters, who’s running against Democratic incumbent Eric Swalwell in California, was attacked by an assailant wielding a “switchblade” while campaigning at the Castro Valley Falls Festival on Sunday. The news of the attack reached national attention Tuesday afternoon yet none of the major network broadcasters (ABC, CBS, and NBC) thought it was worth mentioning.

Twenty years after he recommended to Congress that President Clinton be impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice, Kenneth Starr has written a book about it. Surely, with the passage of time and many other books exploring the Lewinsky affair and the other Clinton scandals, Starr can be treated with dignity and respect. Back then, he faced ABC’s Diane Sawyer calling his Starr Report “demented pornography,  pornography for Puritans.” Twenty years later, nothing has changed.

Just when you thought they couldn’t go any lower or get any dirtier. In the midst of their September 11th broadcast, NBC Nightly News took below the belt shots at President Trump. They juxtaposed the number of deaths in Puerto Rico from Hurricane Maria with those killed 17 years ago. Then they made it seem as though he was “commemorating” the anniversary of the attack by “pumping his fist”. All while ignoring the son of a 9/11 victim begging Democrats to stop playing games with the event.

On the Tuesday edition of CNN’s The Lead, political commentator and former Obama administration official Jen Psaki suggested that the President was “almost gleeful and excited about” Hurricane Florence, its size, and possible destruction as if it’s an accomplishment he helped engineer.

Hurricane Florence is heading towards the Carolinas as a Category 4 hurricane — but media hype is making a bad situation even worse. Journalists are already pushing climate change and fantasizing about creating a new category of hurricanes.

The Washington Post seized the opportunity on Sept. 11, to promote “new research” on a favorite climate alarmist talking point. The headline of reporter Chris Mooney’s story emphasized the possibility of a Category 6 [which doesn’t exist on the hurricane measurement scale]. He wrote that “some scientists” have been talking about it — before admitting an author of the study he was reporting on didn’t necessarily support adding a Category 6 to the scale.

What do you think the top priority of Congress would be if the Democrats win control of the House in November? The answer is something upon which both the left and the right would agree: Impeachment. And yet the official Democrat position is pretend that impeachment is not on their minds 24/7 because they know such an admission could hurt them with the voters. Therefore most of the Congressional Democrats are currently going thru the laughable pretense that the I-word is not their top priority although a number of their members such as Maxine Waters are uncomfortably truthful about their intentions.

CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King on Tuesday launched a preemptive strike against her own network, attacking top officials for not showing transparency in an investigation of ex-CEO Les Moonves, a man now accused of sexual harassment and assault. “In our own house, we must have transparency,” demanded King, perhaps in a bid not to, once again, sound as though she was irritated at having to cover such stories at her network.

In a softball interview with former Secretary of State John Kerry about his new memoir, on Monday and Tuesday, MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell repeatedly teed up the Obama administration official to slam the Trump White House on various foreign policy issues as well as Bob Woodward’s tell-all book. She only managed one challenging question about Kerry’s tenure at the State Department.

Most people would instinctively dismiss the idea that a Hollywood veteran of more than 50 films could be a President Trump supporter. But Academy Award winning actor Jon Voight has always stood out in that regard, and in an emotional interview with Fox News’ Mark Levin on Sunday he choked up while recounting a heartfelt chat he had with a conservative actress concerning the 45th president.

In the run-up to the 2016 U.S. presidential election, high-level, pro-Hillary figures at Google, Univision and the Hispanic voter drive organization Voto Latino worked together assiduously on get-out-the-vote (GOTV) initiatives and programming whose clear chief aim was to boost the Hispanic vote for Hillary Clinton.

During Monday’s edition of CNN’s New Day, correspondent Martin Savidge put together a package on the Tennessee Senate race of former Democratic Governor Phil Bredesen versus Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn and after the package concluded, co-host Alisyn Camerota all but endorsed Bredesen by proclaiming: “It’s nice to imagine that moderates are not extinct.”

Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway shot down media reports that the White House was in chaos, while speaking to PBS host and veteran correspondent Christiane Amanpour on her new PBS show Monday evening.

On Tuesday, The Washington Post published a nifty little trend piece on rich Hollywood socialites and their newfound political games. Writer Michelle Ye Hee Lee discussed how flipping the House -- as in the U.S. House of Representatives, not the mansion up for grabs in Jennifer Aniston’s latest divorce -- “has blossomed into Hollywood’s nerdy new hobby.”

During an exclusive interview with Donald Trump Jr. aired on Tuesday’s Good Morning America, ABC News correspondent Tara Palmeri was ready to convict the President’s eldest son of an unspecified crime. She touted him being “under the microscope” in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation and asked Trump Jr.: “Are you scared that you could go to jail?”

Despite a long history of going after conservative and Republican presidents, Bob Woodward wants you to know that there’s nothing “partisan” about his new book on the Trump administration, neutrally titled:  Fear: Trump in the White House. Talking to Stephen Colbert on Monday’s Late Show, he sure sounded like part of the resistance: “We better wake up to what's really going on and people need to examine it, not just Republicans and Democrats.”
